This is the one you are looking for! The creamy (cheesy?) sauce, the crunch of the first bite, the sights and sounds of the street all around you all contribute to make this a most enjoyable experience. The hotdog is pretty good too!

Get all the toppings for the best taste. The hotdogs have a nice snap to them. Check out the timeline to see all the visitors over the years.

Given all the rave reviews, we were really looking forward to trying these hotdogs. Sadly, they were just okay. Probably wouldn’t recommend any of my friends seeking this out.

Well, you get what you pay for. It's a wiener hot dog stand, that sells two things: Hot dog and soda. The hot dog was priced at 450 ISK, and took only a couple of seconds to prepare. Nothing notable about the hot dog, nor...More

Construction and parking made this location hard to get to. However, the hotdogs were great and the service was fast! Our hotdogs were ready before we even had time to pay. These hotdogs are boiled and come with your choice of grilled onions, raw onions,...More

I was told beef, pork & lamb by a local, not the shop. If it's a concern check with them.

Baejarins beztu pylsur (English: The best hot dog in town) often shortened to simply "Baejarins beztu", is a popular hot dog stand in central Reykjavik, Iceland. In August 2006, the British newspaper The Guardian selected Baejarins beztu as the best hot dog stand in Europe. The majority of Icelanders have eaten at Baejarins beztu. It's downtown near the harbor and has been open since 1937. Foreign visitors are often brought to the stand to introduce them to the hot dogs there, which are often called "the Icelandic national food." Among famous people who have eaten at Baejarins beztu are Bill Clinton, former president of the United States, and James Hetfield, vocalist of the popular heavy metal band Metallica. A hot dog condiments include ketchup, sweet mustard, fried onion, raw onion and remoladi, a mayonnaise-based sauce with sweet relish. Hot dogs are often ordered with "the works," i.E., All condiments, or in Icelandic "eina med ollu".
