This restaurant has been one of my go to restaurants as I can always count on their good service and quality of food. Went there for birthday dinner with my wife and the whole family. We had different kind of courses ranging from hamburger to cod fillet. The dishes are well decoraded and the quality of the food is very good. The add on is the location which is close to the only "warm" beach in Reykjavik. Would recommend this place both for summer and winter.

I always like to do a proper dress up meal when I travel and after a bit of researching went for Nautholl and didn't regret it at all.
We booked about 10 days in advance and this was wise as the place was very busy at 7pm on a Thursday evening in late July. We had a seat by the window which had a nice view of the sea in the distance.
We ordered soft drinks and then had to decide from the menu, we went for the set menu of 3 courses.
Starters - We both went for a sample dish of three small taster type starters and they were amazing, my girlfriend (vegetarian) described hers as the first time she ever liked cauliflower. Mine consisted of two small fish tasters and a beef one. All presented well and tasting even better.
Mains - Pan Fried Cod for me which was perfectly cooked and everything else cooked to perfection, even the portion size was spot on, it didn't look a lot but left you thinking you could just about manage a dessert. The missus had a Wild Mushroom Nut Steak which again she was really impressed with.
Dessert - We both had a small piece of chocolate cake with Ice Cream and Cream for dessert which was just enough to give you a taste but not leave you uncomfortably full afterwards.
The three course meal for two came to around £90 which is very reasonable and the food was faultless, the service was friendly and fast and I highly recommend eating here after the beach or Perlan.

We came without booking a table in advance. We received very good service, all of our special dietary needs were met and the servers served us well without any unnessesary disturbance during our meal. I consider the price for the meal to be fair

I went with a few work colleagues to have a christmas menu lunch. The service was friendly and good. The first course was mixed christmas like small courses, all very good. The main course was a decent smoked pork with sweet potatoes and other side dishes. The dessert was an excellent chocolate mousse. Adding a nice location close to the see I can definitely recommend this place.

Sara at the restaurant was amazing and very kind! She accommodated a last minute request and provided a delicious chocolate cake for someone celebrating her birthday. It made the night more special.
Vibes and food of the restaurant was great! Staff were friendly as well. Food portion was big & filling

1/2 empty restaurant tells me they’re full. Host said that even many tables were available, they would all be full in the next 15 minutes, and if I wanted to wait it would be 1 hour and 15 minutes.

An excellent restaurant. Great steak done just the way you like it. The hamburgers are great too and best of all the service is exceptional, friendly but non obtrusive. About 15 minutes walk from downtown but worth the extra effort. And if you fancy a swim in the cold Atlantic Ocean it’s only about 50 yards away.

We had an excellent three course meal at this cosy establishment. The steaks were outstanding and all dishes were tasty. Service friendly, if a little hesitant. Only feedback from us would be that the servers educate themselves a bit further on their menu and drinks list :)

Me and my family celebrated my mums birthday here. All the food was really good and everybody was happy. The food came out slowly but it didnt matter to us because we were enjoying each other company. How ever: they need to clean the bathroom, the tap was filthy and the floor covered in old mud. Gives you another thought because of the Covid 19.

Kind of hidden location near the water behind the university. I ordered the cod and it was absolutely delicious. There were several layers of flavors and ingredients, making it one of the best seafood meals that I have ever had. Strongly recommend for a nice sit down meal with friends and family.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Reykjavik. The food is always very good and the same goes for the service. If you have a designated driver, then, the location of this restaurant is really excellent, as there are plenty of parking spaces in front of the restaurant

First of all the staff should be more professional and service minded. I walked in and he welcomed me like I ask for a free food. The brunch menu… really? I don’t think this menu is worth the price, plus the unfriendly staff service. BIG NEI NEI my friend. I crossed this restaurant out from my lift.

The food at this restaurant is always excellent and the service is friendly and professional. This is a bright and nice restaurant with, good outdoor sitting area. If you are driving, there is plenty of parking space which is not to be said about the downtown Reykjavik

Great location, rather small restaurant, comfortable, quiet atmosphere and good service. Fengum usg bakaðan camenbert í prerétt sem við deildum, var köðin, väätä úneedsglega stor skantur ef fängd fyrir einn en fínnt fyrir usg dö. Aðalréttir Andabringa and duck confit í vorrúllu, very good. Grillað Lamba T-boneið smakkaðist well, réttirnirn well útilátnir and litu well út. Verðið þokkalegt eða ekki óeðliega dýrt. Had the Deep fried plaice for lunch there yesterday. A terrible disappointment, the fish was so dry as it only can be after months or even years in a freezer. Sorry to say this as Nautholl used to be a pleasant place to lunch and dine.
