Has a great fresh fish teriyaki as my dining mates went with more traditional fish and chips and ribs. I loved the teriyaki fish with fresh vegetables and rice. The fish and chips were very good and the ribs were tender but with a bit too much BBQ sauce. The beers were local and as expected a bit spendy. Trying... More

After speaking with the manager our meals finally arrived 45 minutes after we did. A new waiter and cook was the reason for our lost order according the him. The food was surprisingly good one we got served.

The "medium rare" steak I had was definitely well done. The service wasn't good, as a matter of fact the waiter didn't even say "good morning" , just said "are you three?" you should step up your game Grillhúsið.

Our hotel was around the corner from this restaurant. This is an American theme restaurant with a selection of meat and pasta on the menu. We had different selections of burgers and the chips were real potato and very tasty! I would visit this restaurant again for It's tasty food, and competitive pricing.

Food was good. We had the California sandwich and the real cheeseburger. Fries were delicious. Try the reddish looking salt on the table. Great with Fries. Gull beer was great as well.

We happened to be walking around the side streets of Reykjavik and found this place. Delicious burgers (with a yummy "special sauce"). The Parmesan chicken pasta was also excellent. We went back for the next two nights because we wanted to go to a sure thing. I'm writing this review because this restaurant is out of the way and I... More

After walking around the harbor area searching for a place to eat, rather difficult having in mind that we already had fish & chips, burgers and most restaurants had the cuisine already closed we decided to give this one a chance, and it was wright on spot. The food was very good and the beer also, Portugal won the quarter... More

My wife and I were seated very promptly and the waitress took our order right away. We waited for our 2 beers for probably 20 minutes and then again for our meal for another maybe 25. I had ordered mushroom soup and when the waitress brought it over, told me it was asparagus soup instead, 'hope that's okay'!. Food was... More

We stopped here attracted by the affordable prices compared to other restaurants that looked extremely too expensive for our pockets. We had the mozzarella sticks for starters then for main course we had che chicken and lamb skewers. Both beautifully cooked and so tasty. Amazing sweet potatoes chips and the jacket potatoes was also very good. It was quick, tasty... More

My friend and I stopped in here for dinner because they had reasonably priced food (hard to come by in Reykjavik) and because they had fish and chips on the menu (one of my favorite meals), Grillhusid feels like a diner. It has lots of circa 1950;s era memorabilia, particularly of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. It... More
