Nice food

Had a late lunch here and was fairly impressed. It was fairly quiet and the waitress was very accommodating. We had fish and chips and Bbq ribs and they were lovely. The price was a little more than other places nearby but not by too much. It's definitely worth a visit.

We had been wandering around looking for somewhere to eat where the main food isnt fish. We stumbled across this place and were very glad. It was a cold windy evening, and we glad to find a free table in the warm. The service was good, the food was nice, but not anything outstanding, but it was good value for... More

We went to this place because we fancied a steak and the latest TA reviews said it was decent, one even said 'the best in Reykjavik'. We sat down in a fairly empty resteraunt and the waitress took out drinks order while we decided on food. We had the sharing platter to start with and it wasn't bad, then the... More

The Grillhusid is our eatery of choice when in Reykjavik, mainly because I'm a non-fish eater and the grill-house has many beef and lamb alternatives to fish (which is also on the menu). Try the 'melt-in-your-mouth' lamb skewer for example. Delicious. A good recommendation is that the grill-house is frequented by many Icelanders, not just tourists, and is very popular.... More

Plenty of food and good service. No problem when I told them I was tomato and gluten intolerant. A gorgeous lamb sewer. With a jacket potato. So simple but so nice. On a bed of green salad.

We came in for lunch after a long cold walk around the harbour. Service was good and nice views from our window seats. Food was great - we had the BBQ ribs and the lamb . Both were really really good. Beer was nice and cold and prices reasonable for Iceland! Would recommend !

We ordered a pepper cheese burger and a quesidea. The burger was amazing. The quesidiq was also very tasty. The only bad thing was the guacamole. It did not taste much and was kind of brown in the color. The service was great, and the resturant has a cosy american look.

Visited for dinner and drinks last week in the late afternoon. Place was quiet, only one or two other tables taken. Service was speedy. Drinks were fine. Food was average, nothing brilliant and not awful, just medium. Price was ok. Think there are better options locally, as very centrally located so would try somewhere else next time.

We had an amazing meal here, the steaks were excellent, garlic bread was the nicest we have had in a long time. An interesting eclectic mix of decoration, with background music to suit all ages. Not the cheapest meal, but not most expensive either, but worth the price.
