This was the best hamburger and fries I had in Reykjavik and the most reasonable (for Reykjavik). The cost was about $12 for hamburger, fries and Coke. It was a nice day so the tables outside were all occupied. Otherwise this is a smaller place not too far from Hallgrimskirkja.

We stopped in, wanting a cheap and quick hamburger. The food was delicious and it was prepared quickly. The fries were good too!

I've been here a few times and it never disappointed me. If you're on a budget it surely is a great place to eat and even if you're not.. it's still really good. I fact, it might have even been the best burgers I have ever had. From the outside it looks a bit empty and unattractive but don't be... More

Old Style restaurant not fancy or anything special to stay there . But with good steak on ok price comparing to iceland, but lack of good mind and thinking about customers on the year 2016 to have no wifi and it is in my mind a low quality to customers when all restaurants have wifi this days. Wake up to the... More

We went in as 2 English visitors on the night Iceland played England! We ordered 2 burgers and a couple of drinks. Really good burgers, really good fries and a great price! You can see why it's a favourite locals bar.....would return!

We went here after reading the Tripadvisor reviews as budget dining is very rare in Reykjavik. As the reviews say - don't be put off by the outside. To me it was just a neighbourhood bar, nothing fancy but it was clean which is what counts if you're eating. The menu is very limited - don't go unless you want... More

Simple, cozy, locals only feel with a down-to-earth menu at a reasonable price. Inside are 7 tables and fully licensed bar with local beer. The bartender was very friendly. We ordered 2 burgers and fries for $18 USD total. It was very good. Excellent portions. Everything was freshly made to order. Very happy to have enjoyed dinner here! It was... More

Vitabar is a cool, little joint for lunch, dinner, and/or a drink. It's rather small inside, but there is usually outdoor seating when it is warm enough. Prices are very reasonable for a burger with fries, and usually they have specials (i.e. burger and fries for $12USD). Great place to swing by if you're on a budget or want something... More

This place is so unassuming that we thought they had closed down. We went in and grabbed some burgers and it was awesome. Very reasonable considering how expensive food can be in Iceland. It was super tasty as well. The garlic and bleu cheese burger is awesome.

It´s like being a part of the 70´s show! The whole bar breathes the 70:ies, but the burgers are the best you can get, anywhere in the world!
