A fab place to go to eat in such an expensive city. They only do soup in bread. 2 flavours which change daily. We went on Saturday and it was reindeer or mushroom. We had one of each. The reindeer was delicious. Cost 1850 Krona which is cheap by Iceland standards. Great find!!

Found this by accident even though I had read about it. Glad we did find it. Hot filling soup on a cold Icelandic day. Its not cheap as such but it was great. Would highly recommend the place.

Just 2 types of bread bowl soups + beer. This was by far the simplest and most effective restaurant (only rivaled by Noodle Station) in Reykjavik. The place is cozy and great for light lunch or afternoon snack. The soup (reindeer soup) was delicious & bread was extra crispy on the outside.

This kaffid is up a few steps into the restaurant. It is small with about 12 tables, it seems very busy. They offer 2 types of soup in a loaf, 1 for meat lovers and the other vegetarian. We ordered 1 of each and they were both very tasty. In January the cost was 1850kr. The only downside is this... More

Friendly staff. Two soups each day; one veggie one meat. Décor seems a little disjointed but both times we visited the place was full. Second time we waited for a table and it was lovely grub.

Popped into here on the main street and had the choice between a vegetable soup and Reindeer Soup. I had the Reindeer which was amazing, very tasty and you can even eat the bowl once empty. 1850Kr which is around £13 which is good value for money in Reykjavik.

(Asparagus or Mexican meat) we had one of each, souppa tasty 😋 The restaurant was very small but very busy, glad we was able to get a table, visited this place twice it was that good. Sampled the local Beer (Gull)... More

This has to be some of the best food we tasted in Iceland! It was recommended to us and we were very glad we came! The cafe is situated on the Main Street, Laugavegur, and up a small staircase. It's small, quaint and has a lovely atmosphere! There are two choices of soup, vegetarian and meat, I had the potato... More

Tiny family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik We are the first "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years and still loving it. We don't take reservations, ever - but swing by and we will do our best to fit you in with smiles on our faces! :)
