This is a good place for lunch, not dinner. The soup is nice but it gets a bit boring after a while. A great way to warm up in winter though. If you're there and hungry, try it. However, don't go out of your way too much as its pretty average on all accounts. We don't really think back on... More

The kitchen was closed on Thursday night so all they offered was the soup in bread bowls and alcohol. Both were very good but the lack of kitchen options did not help everyone in my group.

Dropped by after a long walk on cold, windy day. Really just went here for the soup in a bread. Didn't disappoint. Flavorful and filling. Floors could do a bit of a cleaning though.

Soup of the day served in a freshly baked bread bowl, with a cold Gullfoss to wash it all down. The menu is simple but tasty. Broad windows overlooking Laugavegur allow for an excellent people - watching experience.

The vegetarian bread bowl soups here are absolutely delicious. I went here on my first day in Reykjavik and had to come back and eat there the next day too!

Last dinner in Iceland and best soup ever. I always liked bread bowls and so as soon as I saw the sign of this place, it was the obvious dinner choice. We had the asparagus soup and the icelandic meat soup. They were both great. The bread bowl is really good and they also have a very good selection of... More

This was the first restaurant we went to in Iceland. The burgers are well made and taste amazing. The french fries were over the top. No where else in Iceland can you get hand-cut fries that don't taste like they were previously frozen. Also had dessert...you cannot go wrong with this place. All of the food was delicious.

Very cosy restaurant with friendly staff. And the soups in the bread are awesome. Go there and try it.

This bread bowl soup was economical, and incredibly good. Our stay in Iceland was cold, dreary, and wet- perfect weather for soup! Ambiance: small, intimate. Great atmosphere for a couple. Types of soup: the two available when we visited were (1) meat soup w/ beef+ lamb, and (2) creamy broccoli soup. They ran out of meat soup at ~ 10... More

Big queues to get in. Nothing special about the soup but served in a bread bowl its certainly worth the movelty value. Plus its kind of cheap given the cost of dinner in Reykjavik. Worth trying once.
