All vegan diner inside of Gaukurinn (Music venue). Focus on comfort foods that suits both a rock bar and Veganæs rockers; juicy, well seasoned and saucy. Veganæs food is unpretentious and imaginative, all about balance, and all about the sauce. Veganæs includes it´s own seitanic burgers, grill cheese sandwiches, fish & chips, steaks, soups and lots of tasty bar snacks.
Absolutely loved this place, great vegan options and huge portions for very reasonable prices. My meat-eating boyfriend loved the seitan burger and the fries were delicious as well. Would recommend to everyone, vegan or not.
Great happy hour too.
I ordered the creamy turnip and garlic soup with a “burnt sandwich” (grilled cheese), as well as the seitanic burger (voted best veggie burger in Reykjavik). The soup was absurdly good, and the burger was awesome. Definitely check this place out.
