This can very well be the best fried fish you’ll ever taste in your life. Definetely try fish & chips! And excellent location is a huge plus.

Best fish and chips in town. The sauce which came with the fish and chips was perfect. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza an it was really delicious. I strongly recommend this place to everyone. You should try.

Great place to eat that doesn't kill your wallet. Some idiot had said it was the worst place to eat in Reykjavik. Not from what we had. I csn only say good things about the place.

Like other reviews have said, this restaurant is very busy. We felt lucky to get a table when we walked in, but staff worked quickly and the turnover was quick so I dont think it'd be a long wait if we did need to. Definitely...recommend the pizza and garlic bread, both delicious. Nice quick meal before heading out for the night. Prices were standard for Reykjavik.More

101 bistro is a very popular restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We tried to eat there several times but it was always busy with no possibility of booking tables and nowhere to wait for a table to come free. Finally we managed to get...a table and were not disappointed. The quality of the food was very good and service was efficient and friendly. Prices were OK by Icelandic standards.More

The food was the best I had while in Reykjavik. Our waiter Kjsitsiti, not sure of spelling was awesome. The place was clean the atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding.

I am giving this establishment a 5 Star review because they do what they do well. This is to say this restaurant is a great place for a super casual meal with friends, family, or colleagues, where you can enjoy a short list of well-executed...international and classic Icelandic dishes for a fair (albeit, Iceland) price. Some of the international dishes take a few liberties, but most people likely will not mind. I tried the fish and chips and local lamb, as well as beers and wine. It seems the pizzas are popular here,as well, although I am allergic to way and they do not have a dairy free cheese (nor would I expect them too). The local beers on tap, served in a hefty liter mug are perfect to nip at the chill in the air. The delightful servers and kitchen cheerfully handle food allergens/intolerances, although, everything will be prepared in the same kitchen. Did I mention the servers are delightful? We had an efficient and cheerful young lady from Delaware, USA both nights I dined there. The (mostly 80s) playlist worked for us, too (but that may be generational). Whether you’re just looking to avoid fuss and want to be able to hear the conversation at your table, or just looking to have some beers or wine (no liquor) with your peeps, this will do the trick admirably.More

Like John M, we saw the sign pointing out the complaint so for fun thought we'd try the pizza......it was lovely and we don't normally eat pizza! We even went back for a second time! Very busy little place, staff pleasant. Would recommend giving it...a try.More

Great place for fish & chips. They claim to have the best in town. I didn't have others to compare but their fish & chips were really good. I got takeaway and got 2 pieces of fish, fries, and a little salad (alot of food)....I would recommend eating here. They sell other things beyond fish & chips as well.More

Probably no point in reviewing since they seem to make fun of the negative reviews. At any rate, we sat down and were totally ignored by the server. No be with you in a minute, no nothing. Just ignored. Walked out, so can’t tell you...how the food was. Service sucked.More

We tried this tiny restaurant because it was close to our hotel, but we went back because it was wonderful. By far, the 101 Bistro has the best fish and chips we had in Reykjavik, and the lamb plate is also very good. It has...a nice Middle Eastern twist, and the portions are generous. Also, great service, which seems to be common in Reykjavik.More
