Great place to have filling meal with some wonderful spicing and interesting combination of flavours. The restaurant also offers great cocktails and they are always ready to recommend anything for you due to your allergies or diet preferences. I had a bit of a mixture of vegan food when I visited - the broccoli taco, edamame beans and sweet potato fries but everything was delicious. Other vegan options include the veggie burger without the bun and there was another cauliflower something option on...the menu but I didn't fancy those. The person who I visited with had the cod and that was apparently great too. We had a discount code as we booked our holiday with secret escapes which I think gave us 15% off. Would definitely visit again.More

Rio Reykjavik used to be my favorite place in Reykjavik. This time we went just me and my boyfriend and it was a completely different experience. First dissapointment was that they had changed the menu so no tostados on the menu, but ok the menu...still looked good. I ordered chicken taco and beef skewer and my boyfriend the beef main dish. The taco was great and the beef main dish was good but I had to return the beef skewers because it wasn’t eatable :/ The service was not good, which was the most surprising because usually it has been so outstandingly great. My 5* restaurant fell down to 2*, same expectations I have for a typical fast food place like serrano or subway. I guess I’m not going there again any time soon, if ever :(More

We arrived at half past seven on a Saturday and the place was half full. It got really full around half past eight or so. We ordered six different tacos to share. All of them tasted wonderfully. Service was nice. Cocktails good. Prices on par...with restaurants in the area. Will go there again.More

Went there for my birthday with my girlfriend and it was fantastic!! Very hard to find authentic mexican tacos in iceland and they were awesome there. I also got a surprise dessert for my birthday and it was the best Highly recommend!

Stumbled across this restaurant while walking around the harbour, from the outside the building looks bland but inside the decor was nice, friendly staff and warm. The menu has a Mexican feel with a nice selection, we opted for a large selection of Tacos which...we all really enjoyed. They do a chefs special each day where the chef chooses a number of courses - each one being a surprise, as we had younger children it wasn’t appropriate but the table next to us did and they thoroughly enjoyed it.More

Surprised to see so many enthusiastic reviews - this place was just ok. Almost empty when the nearby restaurants were pretty full. That should have been our first hint but it got good reviews (thanks, TripAdvisor) and the prices are decent. The chips came with...a cheese sauce (which wasn’t bad but a little odd) and the tacos seemed to have the same sauce. No atmosphere whatsoever. Altogether eh.More

This is a very busy, popular place to eat. We had to wait for a table, when other restaurants were fairly empty. The seating, decoration is nothing fancy. In fact it's pretty basic, but what it does well is deliver freshly cooked simple food: pizzas,...burgers and fish and chips. The fish and chips we had were great; a good sized fish, hot and well cooked, with chips that were just about right. It's reasonably priced for Reykjavik too.More

Very relaxed vibe and good Latin music. The fish tacos were excellent and the chili nachos was the best I’ve had and ordered a second portion.

When we first got in the restaurant we were left waiting for around 5-10mins to be seen/spoken to by anyone, but it was fairly busy so perhaps it's not always like that. The food was very good. We got a few dishes to share -...the sweet potato fries are very very good, as was the parmesan and garlic mash. For mains we had chilli con carne tacos, corn dogs and a ribs to share - all very tasty. The price is not completely unreasonable either.More

This place is super cool with Columbian vibe and cool skull decorations, it is very warm and welcoming . We had few dishes to share, maybe too many. Everything was so good and we were so glad to share them together. The nacho plate is...a must, you get different toppings , the fish tacos were delicious and the hallomi ohh woow it was so goood, must get that one. And then the chicken wings were perfectly seasoned, the short ribs were bomb. Highly recommend these 2 dishes. And the the chocolate mouse was perfect, it was so rich and chocolatetyyy The dinner was fabulous, we loved everything and glad we get to try so many dishes together. Thank you Rio Reykjavik.More
