We visited here since it was close to our Reykjavik Residence Hotel accommodations ,otherwise I don’t think that we would have stumbled across this hidden gem. A welcoming staff, great wine selection from knowledgeable staff with small bites to either cap off an afternoon of touring or a prelude to dinner. The perfect ambience with like minded guests who want to sit back , relax and visit with friends in a small but mighty place.

This tucked away bar serves delicious wines, cocktails and beers on tap. The atmosphere and vibe is sophisticated yet down to earth. The bar tenders so friendly and special bonus: a roof deck! Loved this place and only downside is it wasn't open two of the nights we were in Reykjavik - otherwise we would have been there every night!

Our hotel reservation came with a voucher for this place so we stopped in for a few drinks prior to dinner. Cozy, clean and welcoming. Service was very good. Enjoyed not only the drinks but some appetizers from the menu and they were excellent. Would recommend.

A very chic intimate hidden wine bar. Great selection of wines…reasonably priced . The bartenders were knowledgeable on wines and offered some great selections . Appears well attended by locals as well.

Following a recommendation from a local we visited this bar hidden away in a residential back street. A popular modern bar with the locals that offers a range of wines, cocktails and international beers but sadly lacked a good selection of Icelandic beer/ales. Service ok but did have to wait a while in between rounds as the barman tended to forget certain drinks ordered. Overall a pleasant bar for a drink or two and the chance to see an Icelandic TV celebrity!

When we came for a bottle of wine after dinner, we were the only customers when we arrived. The employees were sitting around and had taken off their sweaters - put them back on after we came in. The wine list is long and also expensive. We ordered a bottle of GSM but they could not find it. They did not make a recommendation, so we had to go through the list again. We chose a Chianti which was not great. We were not offered any of the snacks at the bar (olives, nuts?) but saw the employees eating right out of the jars which was unsanitary and unappealing.

I had this place saved and I am so thankful we were able to make it, it was a Saturday night, we were feeling a bit all over the place with jet lag etc. There were only a small group inside, its just perfect, the music, decor everything! The two women befind the bar were very friendly and helpped us pick a few wines to try. It was just so nice to sit back and enjoy the wine in such lovely surroundings. Its an Oasis for sure, well worth a visit but as everyone else says dont tell too many others!! A lovely end to our short Iceland trip!

Been coming here since it opened in 2017. Great selection and reasonable prices. NOW: no Sangiovese, no Malbec, only a few choices of red wine, short pours, and priced nearly twice what other places in Reykjavik are charging. It’s got a nice atmosphere but, now? , it’s not worth it.

Great find and just feet from our Reykjavik Residence apt. We were too tired to search for a place to eat and found this wine bar just minutes away...what a find. We had an abolutely wonderful Brie appetizer and a charcuterie plate. Both were fabulous. And Solya(?) was so sharp and accomodating when we needed some more of the fabulous bread. Liska also was helpful when we paid the bill. It was a perfect end to a very tiring airport wait.

This is an absolute oasis amongst the tourist traps on Laugavegur. The place to go for a glass or bottle of wine, cocktail or even a beer. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. The surroundings are comfortable and stylish. A must visit for a pre or post dinner drink in Reykjavík.

This bar is full of locals so instantly you know it's cool. We only found it because we were staying next door at the Reykjavik Residence. Bit pricey but keeps the riff raff out. We ate the baked brie with mango chutney to soak up the excellent wine whilst we observed the beautiful people. Yummy.

Popped in here one evening on the way home to the hotel, ended up coming back almost every night. Great atmosphere, lovely decor, unbelievable selection of wines, and knowledgeable friendly staff.

We stopped in for happy hour. Our hotel room was 20 feet away so it was an easy walk! The price was reasonable, the wine was good, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was relaxing.

A definite must! We arrived just before brunch closing like awful tourists. We were hungry, tired and just expecting hot food and perhaps a scoff at our lack of timeliness. To be pleasantly greeted and treated to exceptional food was wonderful. The chef and staff whipped us up one of the most incredible breakfasts I’ve had - ever. Their kindness was the cherry on top. Somehow, Port 9 has combined a trendy ‘urban industrial’ decor that is beautiful with a menu filled with passion. Don’t let the ‘off the path’ location fool you - as most of the best things are a bit hidden. Follow the big white foot prints and settle in for affordable, insanely delicious and well thought out bites and drinks. We would not miss it upon returning to Reykjavik!
