This restaurant has gotten a lot of buzz recently, and deservedly so. The food is delicious and well presented, and the view out over the harbour is fantastic. Service was top notch, and the wine selection was refreshingly different.
There were only two issues that stopped me from giving this restaurant a top rating. First, the menu is VERY limited - there are 3 choices each for appetizer, pasta and main. And since the dishes are non-traditional, you may find yourself in the position that we found ourselves in - there was only one option per category that we wanted to try. We enjoy fine dining, and are used to limited selections, but this was a bit extreme.
Secondly, the ambiance was very formal. Elegant certainly, but not particularly warm. This is not a big deal however.
Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Our first family night in iceland and we was not wanting to just get some quick take away food. So glad we didn't.
The food here is fantastic, not much in the way of kids menus but my daughter and wife had the ravioli which was very nice and plates were empty. The breads and oil was very nice . I had the seafood Fettuccine with garlic and chilli and can honestly say it's probably the best Italian meal I have ever had. We was all impressed with the deserts too.
Will dine here again on our return to iceland. Full 5 stars.

Went there with my family of seven and we had entrées and main dishes, both fish and meat. In short, it was excellent! The food was rich and savoury, the wine recommended by our waitor was perfect and the service outstanding, professional and not too overwhelming. Highly recommend and will go again.

We went as a family here and all of us were over the moon with this place. It is a very smart place and we had a table by the window so we had a good view over the harbour and the city. For our starters we had the parma ham and goat cheese and it was amazing, plates are licked clean. I had THE best snitzel I have ever tasted and I have had some good ones around the world but this was so good I wanted to marry the chef. My daughter had the lobster pasta and loved it. Great cocktails and a good wine list and the service was 100%. I urge you to try this place out, tho a bit pricy, it is well worth every penny. Thank you La Primavera, we had a fantastic evening.

We went to the Primavera in the Harpa building by mistake, so this is a review of that location not the original one. The best thing was the service, our waiter was friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable. The menu was so limited that I wanted to leave, and was convinced to stay by my footsore travel mate. Of the THREE entrees I had the mussels, which were okay but not great. I would not return.

We ate here on our last night in Reykjavik and I'm very glad we did. The steak tartare was excellent and the veal Milanese delicious and light. My only complaint was that my vodka martini aperitif was about half the size I'd normally expect! Other than that, a lovely experience and I'd happily visit again. Suitable for friends, families and couples alike.

The setting is cozy and spacious, if somewhat too formal, especially for italian type ambiance. The food however, is amazing, staff is very professional and friendly and it is one of very few places in town with homemade pasta. Book it!

This is a favourite restaurant of ours. But recently coming out of Covid it has been excelling itself. First class Italian haute cuisine done with delicacy and originality. The setting is great too - on the harbour in an elegant high ceilinged building overlooking trawler and large sailing ship moorings.

We stopped here for lunch. Unfortunately, the menu is set with only 3 entrée choices. All of which had meat. There was only one dessert option. Perhaps the chef thinks he knew best. We opted to move on for a more inviting menu.

I was invited here for dinner, with high expectations that were easily met. Food was well prepared and delicious. The wine menu is huge, but the red by the glass was just right. The view across to Snaefellsnes was so clear. Harpa is a pretty amazing facility and the restaurant just adds to it.

This place isn’t cheap but to be honest nowhere in Reykjavík is. It’s super nice food and massive portions. I’d be careful ordering a starter AND a main. We got the risotto balls and linguine. They both were massive. The risotto balls could be a meal by themselves. And the cheesecake was heavenly. I’d absolutely come here again. Lovely ambience, super pleasant staff, amazing food. Was not disappointed in any way. Keep up the good work guys!

The fish of the day was excellent though it could have come with more vegetables. The coffee was very good too. The setting is nice and the sign saying Scandinavian Pain was rather intriguing.

Sadly I was really disappointed, choose this restaurant for my 30th birthday but the portion are so huge that they fill you too fast to enjoy anything after the appetizer.
+some of the food are barely decent, too simple or just not properly seasoned.

Excellent food and the service as well. Very warm place to stay for a long “dinnertime” and enjoy the overwelming view at same time. 👍
