Bit of a cue because it’s so popular but well worth the wait. Deserts are amazing, gluten and vegan free available.

Really nice vibrant local. Awesome food and ridiculously good coffee. Best value for money you find in Reykjavik. Tried the Icelandic Plokkfiskur (Fish - Icelandic specialty) and it was delicious. All in all excellent!

We had a luxury brunch....half of it a salat from a bag. Bread with half a strip of bacon an over cooked eg and two teaspoons of bad avocado. A choice of cakes for dessert, mine old and dry. Spend your money elsewhere!

Good food, feels like home with good service. They manage to have the ingredients of the food with top quality. They operate with passion and want to have always the best. The coffee is probably the best in Iceland :)

Description
Speciality cafe, bar and a homey eatery. Our name is pronounced as "Cafe Like..ur" or Kaffi Laugalækur in Icelandic. Situated around the corner from Iceland’s largest and most popular swimming pool: Laugardalslaug. Also the botanical gardens, gourmet shops, petting zoo and family parks, and ferry to Videy island. Offering good value and healthy award winning Nordic sourdough pizzas, salads, sandwiches, soups and dish of the day. Homemade cakes and pastries. Plenty of vegan options. Weekday lunch offers, happy hour daily 4-7pm and 10-11pm, brunch served on weekends from 11am to 3 pm. Using the freshest seasonal food ingredients, speciality coffee and tea and local craft beer. Owned by family and friends we have a welcoming and friendly vibe with a Nordic design. Our name refers to the street name and the geothermal water in the area. Reykjavík city takes its name from the natural steam that flows underground our cafe! We also have a hostel and a progressive art gallery.
