Spectacular small plate sharing menu makes for a great experience. Food & Drink: Large number of tapas to choose from -- greens, fish, meat, plus cheese / nuts, desserts, and more. Even things I don't normally enjoy were quite good, and the things I do...enjoy were delectable. Large wine menu, and a lot of traditional cocktails. If you don't leave full, you are doing it wrong. The recommendation is 2-4 dishes per person. We had a party of four that ordered 2 dishes each, which was (addiing dessert and some bread) more than enough. The biggest problem, in fact, were splitting up dishes that were not easily spittable (3 lamb chops) and managing the amount of space that 8 dishes plus the plates we were eating from took up. Service: Friendly but seemed a bit harried by all the things they had to do. Ambience: Nice, pleasantly decorated, warm and light and airy. Overall: Upscale and pricey, but worth it. Definitely an "event" location.More

Pretentious, style over substance. Had better in Iceland. Seems driven more by profit and watched the "chef" plonking food on plates. Food was OK. Expect nothing more than ok. Pricy too even by Icelandic standards.

This restaurant is an amazing place, where you feel at home. We had 3 courses, the plates are small but 3 is enough. The courses were scrumptious and above all our waitress Boguey was so cute, smiling and She provided very good advices. We absolutely...recommend this restaurant, the price is quite reasonable for such a good quality.More

Lovely restaurant bar with additional outdoor seating across from church in central Reykjavik. Food delicious, very busy but prompt service. Small plates very tasty. Would recommend it.

Colleague and I stumbled across this restaurant. They were happy to accommodate us with no booking. The lovely Hungarian waitress made us feel so welcome and gave some fantastic recommendations from the menu.

My family and I had a tour run over the time to return back to Reykjavik and we had planned on eating dinner here.. the kitchen was due to close at 10 and our drop off time was 9:54. I emailed the restaurant and expressed...our concerns, whoever I corresponded with was able to take our order via email! Once we arrived we only had to wait a few minutes for our food. This is hospitality at its finest. I was so thankful ROK was able to do this for us so we didn’t have to eat fast food for dinner after 14.5 hours of touring. The meal was delicious as was the wine. The environment was cozy as well. Recommend ROK to all travelers, and the menu has something for everyone.More

Rok was on our must visit list since we first saw it in 2016 and we finally made it. As we visited on a Saturday, it was their brunch menu. We had booked for midday and we were seated promptly and our orders were taken...pretty quickly. The food was well presented and well cooked. One dish was missed off the order but this was quickly rectified Am so glad we were finally able to visit and would visit again.More

We had been recommended this restaurant by two of our friends. We were really looking forward to trying it out but sadly it didn’t live up to expectation. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks in a not too busy restaurant and then 50 minutes...before any food came out! One of the dishes was cold but didn’t bother to send it back as was so hungry by this point..the other dishes were nice but nothing to write home about…had a pizza slice on the way home.More

In the heart of the city but feel like a little boutique cabin. Food was excellent and great value. We had the lunch menu which was 3690pp (£22) and was two dishes. Very high standard of food quality and cooking.

We had the best dinner here! The dishes were described as "large tapas" but were a little smaller than I was expecting, but every dish was full of flavour and there was a lot to choose from. The desserts were also exceptional! The restaurant was...cosy and had a relaxed yet modern atmosphere, and the servers were all fantastic - a special thank you to Lena for looking after us so well!More

The place and the atmosphere is really good. You can also have a beautiful view to the church if you seat in the left side. The food is so yummy but a little bit expensive and small portions.

Food was great. Staff were lovely. Very cosy atmosphere. The only reason for the mark down was we had to wait a long time for our food

Had dinner at ROK in late January. It was our third night in Reykjavik and we were looking for something that wasn't lamb or fish. ROK did not disappoint! The tapas menu was great because we were able to share multiple dishes with the whole...party. Everything we had was excellent. In particular, the cured reindeer, tenderloin and risotto were spot on. I would highly recommend ROK. It was worth every penny.More
