Afternoon, Been living in Iceland from the last 12 years. Born in France, I know my "Bread". I will not argue that Brauð & Co have made their way in the Icelandic Bread landscape. Well done! I have been going regularly for the past years...to my neighbourhood Brauð & Co, in the West part of town. Indeed, my sons ( 6 &12 years old ) are just fans of the Kanel snuður & Karamel muffin. Each time, I go there I loose an arm, meaning it might be a little over pricy. Nevermind, I'd like my Boys to grow up with the lovely taste and smell of a decent bakery. Today, I showed up at 5.05pm, with my Guys, and I found the door closed. It closed at 5 now. I knocked on the door and found Ze "manager" behind the counter, on the phone and sweeping the floor. I tried to make her understand that maybe she could open again, for the kids. She said "No". I already spoke to her before and she knows I am a regular. I f you are a food shop manager, your mission is to sell as much as you can, no? I knew that Icelandic "people" have a poor sense of service but Ze Manager went too far this time, and her rudeness and poor sense of duty pissed me off.. Anyway, "Good Bread", "Poor Management".More

What a lovely bakery with the delicious, breads and much more. The price was right, the size was right and I liked the down to earth - no flautning look both inside and outside.

Great bread. Still warm when we bought it and stayed fresh for a couple of days. The cinnamon rolls are great to but huge! Lasted for two breakfasts!

This was our go to bakery for breakfast. Cinnamon or vanilla pastries or rhubarb crumble cake excellent for eat now or taking on walk. There is limited space to eat inside the bakery but outside there are lots of seats outside the coffee shop.

This bakery is extremely popular among locals. If you like Nordic-style pastries, very buttery and sugary, you'll love Brauð - their sweet breads and croissants are rich, really sweet, and huge. Personally, I find the taste of butter and caramel overwhelming, and the pastries very...heavy - but it looks like I am in the minority here in Iceland.More

I'm not even a cinnamon bun lover and I had to eat my words. These were honestly the best car cinnamon rolls I've ever had, clearly we are missing a trick in the UK. went back the next day and had the pistachio version...I was...literally in heaven...even better than the cinnamon. Do not leave without trying this place!More

My friend and I are huge foodies and decided we had to try the cinnamon rolls from Braud given the stellar reviews - and trust me, they weren’t wrong!! We passed by on our first day and thought we would pop in. That being said,...we went every day for the rest of our trip! The baked goods are to die for (we had the cinnamon rolls, vanilla rolls and rhubarb cake) and the staff couldn’t be more friendly. Great snack to have on the go whilst you’re sight seeing. Would HIGHLY recommend! Thanks Braud, we will be back.More

Probably average for Iceland. The cinnamon rolls are about $5 US. A loaf of the sourdough bread is about $7 US.

Everything I saw in the bakery looked and tasted full of butter. They do have juice and low fat skyr which someone avoiding fat could have.
