A little gem with a great view! Good fresh fish, local beer. Best of all! Yummy cakes that will stuff you!

Great food with a view. This restaurant was attached to our hotel. It was a convenient choice for us but after we ate there we kept going back during our multiple day visit to Keflavik. The staff was friendly and helpful when making menu choices...and the food was delicious! This place was busy during the off season so I imagine it is really busy during the summer and you may want to make a reservation to get a table. I also recommend staying at Hotel Duus.More

During my visit to Reykjaensbaer area in May and in October 2021, we ate here several times. The service is friendly and the the food is tasty and excellent. We tried several dishes, my personal favourites were the grilled fish dishes (cod and halibut) and...the pork ribs were a big hit with my friends. They also offer a nice lunch at a greatly reduced price. It's nicely located with views over the harbour.More

Great food (we had lamb chops and fish&chips), nice ambience with the view to the port. Just you need to be aware that portions are huge!

The lobster soup which sounded good on the menu was quite salty and overly heavy on the cream and light on the lobster taste and few lobster pieces. The halibut dish was a good attempt at a fresh fish presentation with some actual vegetables but...the fish was hard and somewhat dry. A decent dish but would expect better as this was billed as a fish specialty restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. They will card your child if they are over 12 to avoid your ordering one of the many appealing sounding children’s menu items.More

We stayed near the airport our last nite in Iceland and were looking for a place to have dinner. Based on reviews, decided to give this place a try. The seafood was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. The wait staff was a bit slow,...and had to be reminded a couple times to bring things, but they were courteous and since we weren't in a hurry it was fine. Food prices were on par with what you pay in Iceland.More

I have visited the restaurant with my partner before flying back to Switzerland. The first thing that struck us was the very long waiting time for the staff to take our order (20+ min). We have ordered 2 lobster soups, the sea trio and the...fish of the day. The lobster soups were nothing special but ok. However the main dishes were rather dissapointing. The fish of the day was rubbery. I am not sure whether the reason was that the fish was frozen before preparation or overcooked. What i am sure of is that the side vegetables were from a poorly prepared deep frozen cheap vegetable mix: peas, corn and carrots. I guess even in iceland it is possible to get some fresh veggies and if not maybe it is better to restrain and not serve vegetables at all.. As of the sea trio: here agaian the veggetables came from a frozen mix. In addition everything was topped with coctail shrimps which i can bet were also from a frozen pack. The restaurant is at the sea shore. Literaly 10m from it. It is a real shame to serve frozen sea food. (Unless it was fresh and the preparation was horrible). The fish in this dish was again rubbery and dry. Worth to mention that the waitress took my knife after the soup. And my main dish started getting cold before i got a replacement... In a nushell the place is seriously overpriced with the service and food quality appropriate for a fast food stand rather than a proper restaurant. During our stay in iceland we had much better food in far more friendly restaurants for less money.More

Ordered a massive and reasonably tasty pizza. Quite heavy on the cheese. Staff let us take some home when we couldn't manage it. Also let me swap my drink when I ordered the wrong thing. The drink was served in its sealed plastic bottle without...a glass which would normally be a little disappointing but in this case it made it easier to swap. Vibe was a little bit canteen and basic but was fine for a quick lunch. Pay at the bar. Nothing fancy.More

I don't often write negative reviews, but here goes. I checked out their website first, I was in the mood for seafood, lobster to be exact and they had a lobster dish on their website menu. I arrived and was seated quickly, but highly disappointed...when I looked at the menu and the lobster dish wasn't listed - only a lobster and fish platter for 3 people. I asked the waitress if there was a lobster only option and she shook her head and pointed at other options on the menu that had nothing to do with lobster. So, I ordered a fish dish. My coffee arrived in about fifteen minutes - and I know that staffing shortages are a thing across the world, so I didn't mind. And, the coffee was good. It came with a little bar of chocolate. I watched the volcano on the TV and the ocean out the windows and it was beautiful and relaxing for the first 45 minutes. I noticed people who had been sat before me were also still waiting for their food. All the while I'm seeing the waitress walking around but never came to my table. 30 minutes later (thank goodness I didn't have anywhere to go) my food arrived. No apology, no explanation, just plopped on my table. And then, that first bite. Disappointing. If you want a cup of coffee and a pretty view, then this is the place, but skip the food.More

Very nice local place near the water, may be a bit hard to find, but worth it. FISH is the thing to have in Iceland and this place will not disappoint.

This was an amazing view with incredible food. The staff was kind and thoughtful and the food was just so good. You could tell it was made with love but also Precision. I had the lobster soup which was creamy. My friends had the salmon...pasta which was a big bowl of yum. It was a comfortable spot that was my favorite spot in my whole eating adventure of Iceland!More

We used to really like Duus but it’s changed. I will say the service was nice but it was the food that didn’t live up to expectations. Pasta was okay, the appetizers was good but on their starter it lists nachos, not doritos. Stale ones...at that. Just overall mixed feelings and we will not be returning to Duus, which is a shame since it was our go to date night spot but not anymore.More

Kaffi Duus seems typically a restaurant where apparently they do not receive many non-local guests. They do their best, but communicating (or better: understanding) in English seems not their strongest quality. Dishes are not brought to the table simultaneously, one starter was forgotten, and halfway...the starter they already came with the main course. All-in-all the service needs improvement. The served food was good except the steak of the surf-and-turf: this was chewy meat. So also on the food side improvement is needed!More

The menu looks great, although many dishes are marked as unavailable. There’s a lot of seafood, plus the normal lamb dishes and some unusual ones too. Of the three main courses we had, the pasta was tasty but unoriginal, my fish dish was lovely, my...wife’s was dull. She’d ordered the ‘Sailor’s Plate’ which is meant to be 3 types of fish in a white wine sauce. Having told the waitress she can’t eat spices or lactose she said no problem, but the dish ended up being 3 identical-looking pieces of boiled white fish on a bed of potatoes with a hot, spicy sauce. Not what we’d expected, and not what was offered. But they didn’t offer any excuse or apology either. The waitresses didn’t know what the fish was on the dish and had to go and ask. Both our dishes had a chili flakes on them, I think the chef just likes that. I didn’t mind, but again not what my wife had asked for. By contrast the desserts were great and had a real home-made flavour to them. We saw another diner served a pizza which was quite badly burned, and was then offered it for free. So yes, a mixed experenMore

Hey, you will be hard pressed to find a coffee house or restaurant in Iceland that doesn’t accept credit cards. Icleandic people are famous for their credit cards.
