This restaurant is Classic Iceland - good, hearty local food, great view in the historic part of town, cozy and filled with memorabilia, locals, tourists, businessmen, fishermen, and factory workers.

Now if you come here with American customer services standards, you will be disappointed. I came with 5 weeks in Europe where nobody cares about service so I was used to the oversight. The view is good , the services was as expected ... slow....More

Crowded, noisy and inattentive staff. The food was nothing special. I expected there to be more Icelandic fish choices since it's right where fishing boats pull in. My grandson, who is a vegetarian, had 2 choices. He was satisfied, but I wasn't.

We got to the restaurant early and got a table overlooking the harbor. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and spoke really good English. We told him that we were not in a rush and wanted to enjoy our dinner and the view....More

Icelanders may be found here, but we heard nothing but English. The menu is comprehensive, but starts off with a page tuned to "exotic" visitor tastes at premium prices. You want fermented shark? Whale meat? Sure. They've got that. We weren't especially famished, so we...More

We came here on our last evening in Iceland, as it was one of the restaurants recommended by our guesthouse. As we understand that this restaurant is known for its seafood, we indulged in the lobster and shrimp pasta in lobster sauce (3700kr) and the...More

The food was amazing! I was looking for more traditional Icelandic dishes and I was not disappointed. The view while you eat does not disappoint either

Very generous servings and great quality. I had the fish quartet. Thought it was fairly priced for Iceland standards. It was a welcome warm and dry place on a cold, wi day and rainy night.

Hey, you will be hard pressed to find a coffee house or restaurant in Iceland that doesn’t accept credit cards. Icleandic people are famous for their credit cards.
