Excellent meal in a clean, well-appointed atmosphere, but almost impossible to get service. Overall a disappointing experience.

Outdoor patio service or cozy inside dining. Great happy hour prices on beer and wine. Varied menu, with delicious lobster soup. Excellent service with a friendly and engaging host, and attentive service from waitstaff. Connected to a hotel and lobby area that was once the...town library. A nice touch is all the books lining the walls, and menus inside old book covers.More

Food was really disappointing. Not fresh nor well prepared. Staff was really nice, but I would not eat there again. Went there with kids and realized that food in the local KFC was much better, if not more fresh.

Food was excellent but I left the place hungry after a full main course of cod. A bit too small serving for a grown person. Service was good though.

On Sunday 03.04.2022 we arrived at this place with the intention of eating or drinking something. We try to open the door, we look at the staff (3 person's) laughing in our face! It's a huge lack of respect!

We had some extra time on our way to the airport and we decided to have lunch in Keflavík and that was a super good decision. We had the fish of the day and it was amazingly good. We will do this more often in...the future.More

My husband and I visited the Library Bistro for an early dinner. We were able to get same-day reservations and went for an early dinner. The food and drinks were good. My husband ordered a whiskey drink and I had a lighter, fruity cocktail, both...of which were refreshing. We started our meal with the baked golden cheese with honey, blueberries, roasted cashew nuts, and Melba biscuits. It was excellent. The cheese was served at the perfect temperature and the flavors of the honey, blueberries, and cashews went perfectly with the cheese on the toast. For dinner, I had the library salad with parmesan, which was a pretty basic salad but still enjoyable. My husband had the grilled ribeye with bearnaise and said it was very good. We shared the Reykjanes Lava Cake for dessert, which was tasty without being too sweet. I also had a cappuccino, The service was pretty slow from start to finish. We waited a few minutes at the host stand for someone to seat us. Several people walked past us during that time but someone eventually greeted us and seated us. Once seated, we had to wait about 10-15 minutes before someone took our drink orders, then another 10 minutes to get our drinks and put in our dinner order. Someone asked if we needed anything immediately upon bringing the entrees but my husband had to flag down a waiter 25+ minutes later to order dessert. We asked for the check when dessert was brought to our table so we didn't have to wait again. The price was reasonable for the meal we had, which wasn't the usual experience we had during our time in Iceland. True to its name, we enjoyed the library-like ambiance of the restaurant. We had a decent meal at the Library and it was one of the more reasonably-priced meals we had as well.More

We've waited two hours for our food, still nothing. Also they take 15-20 minutes to bring us drinks (even water and coke). We had to ask for menus and ask to order (the staff was not paying any attention). I'm local, this place has really...gone down hill since it opened. I recommend going to Kef Restaurant (right next door) instead. This was the straw that broke the camels back and we are not coming here again.More

A perfect end of day drinks and dinner. Pasta with lobster was delicious. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Wait staff were welcoming and service was excellent.

After visiting the volcano we drove to Keflavik for dinner. Happily this was the first place we saw. And it was Happy Hour - very important in Iceland. Aperol Spritz 1200 ISK vs 2100. Delightful waitstaff, perfect French fries, all food yummy. 2 mains, 3...drinks, a dessert, no tip = a salad, a main, a dessert, 2 drinks, plus tip in Portland Oregon. Pretty sure most diners were locals, not hotel guests.More

So we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to start the day with a brunch. We noticed on their website that they had brunch every weekend so wee booked a table at 11. Sadly the kitchen didn´t open til 11:30 and the brunch quit in...December. The food was good and the service was lovely but sadly this kind of amateurism should not be acceptable for a place like this. Firstly why would you book us a table in advance without letting us know that there were 30 minutes until you guys open and secondly don´t advertise stuff online you don´t offer any more. But as i say again the food is good the staff is nice and the setting is lovely but this kind of management is unacceptable.More

Library, it's sound good, nice atmosphere, good vibes and many books around. Original design, for sure appreciated not just by booklovers, but also by foodlovers and gourmet. Fine food and drinks, as local Icelandic beer. The staff is very sympathetic and kind, so you can...enjoy not just good quality food, but a romantic atmosphere and a comfort in a warm place at all sences. Reading and eating!More
