Hard to miss if you're doing anything near the harbour, so it's easy to end up here by default, like I did. Everything looked great, but the fresh Arctic Char catch of the day was exceptional. And it was a serious portion of food! No major differences between all the Husavik waterfront restaurants but Salka probably stands out a bit.... More

We did choose this restaurant twice during our stay in Husavik. Good food, nice choice also for vegetarians, great lobster, good price / performance ratio. Really recommendable.

I had the langoustine appetizer and the catch of the day - absolutely delicious. The service was fast and helpful (recommended a great wine to pair). Everything tasted so fresh. For the quality, I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Went there with a big group, six adults and six kids, for a dinner after a busy day in Húsavík. Good menu for the kids, got to choose between fish of the day, pizza, pasta and burger and it was good as well as the price. The adults tried the fish of the day and the traditional fish, the chicken... More

We had tiger prawns and lobster risotto. The dish was very tasty and the service was friendly. Great value for money.

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay at Restaurant Salka. I had the Lamb and my wife got the Pasta, which we both really liked. Despite the fact that it was a really busy evening, the service was excellent, one of the waitress who has the same name as the beer I had was really friendly and despite being... More

The main course fish was very overcooked- hence dry. The sushi was interesting- quite different than that which we have had elsewhere in the world. The service was slap dash. The wine was mediocre.

Pasta dishes should be set on a children's menu. Tiny portion and left me a hungry as before I started. To top it, the lobster in the pasta was overcooked. And oh, especially considering the portion sizes, overpriced. Thanks, won't visit again!

The Arctic char is all we had so I can't vouch for anything else but the char was first rate. The atmosphere is very informal and kind of quaint as it is in one of the old houses on the Main Street of Husavik.

Cozy family owned restaurant offering steaks, seafood, pizza, pasta or burgers made with passion. Our food is not off the shelf, but homemade from scratch. We offer typical icelandic dishes like lamb and cod or catfish in a fresh, modern style. In the summer time it is great to sit outside in our plaza and enjoy delicious food, snacks and cocktails. Housed in one of the oldest buildings in Husavik and in the city centre you can't miss us.
