You must experience this amazing restaurant. By the harbor in Hofn, the perfect setting, we ate the best langoustine dinner of our stay in Iceland. Friendly wait staff, quick service, prices not terribly out of line with other Iceland restaurants. I tried the Skyr volcano...More

Decided to go to the harbour and popped into Parkhus an old restaurant that was highly recommended by some guides. The ambience is of an old retro industrial look and wow the food is good. The famous local “lobster” more like crawfish or yabbies know...More

Highly recommend this restaurant. We had the catch of the day (cod) and the halibut and both were incredible! Cosy atmosphere and lovely staff.

We came in late just before it closes at 9pm. Best langoustine soup we had in Iceland, as I prefer a classic lobster base rather than a curry/ coconut base which most Icelandic restaurant will use. The Lamb is also a highlight, tender and that...More

We had dinner and were really happy with our food. The service was good and the deserts too. I enjoyed the wine also. It is known for lobster and did not disappoint. It is a little pricey but well worth it.

Pakkhús does not take reservations. If the restaurant is full when you arrive there is a nice waiting area with a private bar and card games to kill the time.
