We had good dinner, the meal was average, but we ended up to be full and the taste was good so we can not complain about anything. Friendly staff.

Years ago I had an excellent meal at Pakkhúsið. My experience a few days ago was a let down. Perhaps the pandemic has forced them to pare down their standards. The baked cod was uninspired. The service, while friendly, had a perfunctory quality to it.

Pakkhús restaurant is one of those restaurants that you can not complain about. Cozy and friendly restaurant, top service. The food was delicious.

The restaurant is nice - Upper floor, the lower floor is less nice. We got the duck & pork (really excellent!) and the lamb (best one in Iceland so far). Wine prices really reasonable and perfect service! One of the best places in Iceland in...3 weeks time.More

For those who judge their restaurant experience solely by the quality of the food: go there. Amazing, creative, very high quality and fair price/value. Those who, like me, define a good restaurant by the overall experience including atmosphere and, most of all, the service: be...warned. OK, Iceland might not be the haven for incredible hospitality, but having untrained, unfriendly trainees handling the service and letting the customers wait forever can easlily be avoided. Unfortunate, that the Maître d' - really very endeavored - could not compensate.More

Cozy environment, friendly service. The fish is a must and super fresh! Probably souring the week end is better reserve.

Langoustine heaven, that will sum it up. Basically the langoustine served here is top notch, it’s big, comes with tasty potatoes and a salad, and it’s extremely juicy and tasty. Really great. The soup too is fantastic. And as for dessert, it was the best...dessert we had in Iceland. The skyr dessert is very unique and extremely delicious. Great service too!More

We have been traveling two weeks around Iceland and this for sure was our best dinner. Excellent fresh fish and langoustines! Also very nice service which gave us a table in very short notice.

Pakkhús does not take reservations. If the restaurant is full when you arrive there is a nice waiting area with a private bar and card games to kill the time.
