I'd heard about the lobster festival in Höfn from friends on many occasions, but I thought, "How great can their lobster really be?" I mean, this isn't Maine. Wow. This was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had, let alone in Iceland. Got...More

Very good service (waiters and waitresses are polite, fast and precise), nice location (the upper floor lounge is very relaxing) and excellent food (langoustine is the main speciality: i recommend langoustine soup)

Our bucket list included at least one good langostino restaurant while in Iceland and this was just right. It is a small restaurant near the harbor in Hofn with very nice staff and service. They do not take reservations but in correspondence before going to Iceland,...More

I took the langoustines and they were fresh, good quality and quite big. They were cooked perfectly but in my opinion the chef put too many species, seafood of such quality doesn't need that many species as it spoils the original taste. I would have...More

The menu boasts the seafood was caught by the boats you see from the windows and the potatoes are grown from a man down the street. It's a theme you see repeated throughout Iceland and that's a great theme. This place was outstanding. Service, mood,...More

We tried to get into Pakkhusid but couldn't so we came here and it was excellent. We had the langoustine and it was delicious. Expensive but every good restaurant in Iceland is!

Lamb and shrimp tail seems like the most famous one. But the proportion of the lamb is very big, can be shared with two persons. It's quite pricy btw It is okay if you are not in a hurry, because normally it needs around 30-40...More

Excellent service, very good langoustine We did not think the langoustine tails were as good. The lobster bisque did not have as pronounced a lobster flavor as I would prefer.

We stayed at the guesthouse across the street and ended up eating at Humarhofnin one night and the Pakhouse the other, this was easily the better of the two. Our friend who absolutely loves lobster said it was the best she had ever had. The...More

We two arrived there during the high season (July) without reservations and were immediately seated. We saw that larger groups were turned away. I think that it should be much easier in September.
