This restaurant is good but also extremely pricey. In Iceland things like hotels, gas, restaurants, etc are all more expensive than most travelers expect. However I would say that this restaurant is on the high end so expect a large bill. The food however is good and the presentation is artful. I had the lamb and I wished it was... More

We had an absolutely marvelous experience here: food was excellent, service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere was casual, relaxed, and cozy. The prices are high if you order the langoustine (which you must!) but totally worth it. My husband had the langoustine baguette and my mom and I shared the langoustine pizza. Both were amazing. The langoustine was... More

I'd heard about the lobster festival in Höfn from friends on many occasions, but I thought, "How great can their lobster really be?" I mean, this isn't Maine. Wow. This was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had, let alone in Iceland. Got the langoustine tails, seasoned delicately and cooked with a little butter in their own juices.... More

Very good service (waiters and waitresses are polite, fast and precise), nice location (the upper floor lounge is very relaxing) and excellent food (langoustine is the main speciality: i recommend langoustine soup)

Our bucket list included at least one good langostino restaurant while in Iceland and this was just right. It is a small restaurant near the harbor in Hofn with very nice staff and service. They do not take reservations but in correspondence before going to Iceland, they suggested we come before 6:30 if we didn't want to wait which is what... I took the langoustines and they were fresh, good quality and quite big. They were cooked perfectly but in my opinion the chef put too many species, seafood of such quality doesn't need that many species as it spoils the original taste. I would have put the species aside as an option. I had garlic aftertaste the rest of the... More

The menu boasts the seafood was caught by the boats you see from the windows and the potatoes are grown from a man down the street. It's a theme you see repeated throughout Iceland and that's a great theme. This place was outstanding. Service, mood, food. Just great.

We tried to get into Pakkhusid but couldn't so we came here and it was excellent. We had the langoustine and it was delicious. Expensive but every good restaurant in Iceland is!

I was super excited to visit this restaurant and enjoy the langoustine after reading many good reviews. The staff was helpful and the ambiance was nice, but I ended up being disappointed. The langoustine were edible but sadly over cooked. Salad was also subpar. For a restaurant that charges as much as this one does, I expected something amazing, but... More

Lamb and shrimp tail seems like the most famous one. But the proportion of the lamb is very big, can be shared with two persons. It's quite pricy btw It is okay if you are not in a hurry, because normally it needs around 30-40 mins wait. If you come with friends, you can have a drink upstairs, which is... More
