First time trying langoustine (Norway lobster) and it was great. Salted cod was good but lobster bisque was okay. Friendly staffs. The price was a little pricy but can't help :)

After checking into our hotel, we headed for Humarhofnin, the distinctive restaurant with an orange-and-white exterior famous for its signature grilled langoustine tails in garlic. The lobster I ate at Lobster Hut the first evening I arrived in Reykjavik and the lobster bisque I consumed at Perlan and Fiskmarkadurinn were not really made from the same lobster we have eaten... This is the best meal we had in Iceland. The langoustines are so out of this world...so fresh like you tasted it at sea!! Every dish is cooked and seasoned well. We ordered langoustine soup, langoustine pizza, and grilled langoustines. All divine:)

... but they sure don't come cheap! Very friendly and extremely quick service. Reservations not possible but normally everybody gets a table.

The langoustines here were some of the best we've ever had. If you're in the area and like shellfish, you have to try them. They fish for them right there in Hofn and the boats sit across from the restaurant in the harbor. Incredibly delicious. As in all the food in Iceland, it is expensive but worth it in this... More

I had the langoustine pizza, it was totally awesome. My husband had the langoustine baguette, also very delicious. The price was reasonable and it was very busy in the restaurant. As soon as we took our last bite of food, we felt like we were being rushed out the door. All in all we were satisfied.

Wonderful restaurant in center of Hofn famous for their langoustines. No reservations are accepted, but enjoy an Icelandic beer in the upstairs bar while you wait for your table. Bartender was very friendly, and explained some of the Icelandic alcohols. Dinner service was very professional, informative and friendly. Our group of five shared the langoustine bisque, which was thickened with... More

One word : go for it! The day after we ordered the mixed whole langoustine plate (around 8900 ISK) we were still dreaming of eating another one. It is expensive but it was our first restaurant in Iceland and we really don't regret it. The langoustines were so tender and amazingly good. I recommend it it is amazing and the... More

My sister and I split the the duck and lobster and an order of lamb. I have eaten around the world and I can tell you this was one of the best meals of my life! Everything was farm ( or sea) to fork and delicious. The portions were soo big we could have also just split one. And the... More
