We went there for lunch. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We tried the soup and the tail. Also desserts were very good, for sure the best creme brulle. For sure not very cheap but as in all Iceland!

It is a very expensive restaurant but it has a very high demand rate. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but the wait was well worth it. For dinner we chose the whole langoustine (it envolves using your hands and seafood appliances to reach into the langoustine's legs' meat) and the langoustines' tails (much easier to... More

We read the reviews before and they didn't let us down. Marvelous langoustine sandwiches! Very kind staff, nice decor. Worthed the stop in Hofn. This restaurant is open all day. We ate around 15h.

We came with high expectations as langoustines are this places speciality. We had langoustine bisque, duck confit and whole langustines and all of them very so so. Langoustines flavour was covered by garlic and other flavors. Prices are extremely high for what you get.

This restaurant was highly rated in our guide book (also expensive). Four of us had the langoustines which were excellent. The other had arctic char which seems to be good no where you order it. The service was fast for how busy they were and we all enjoyed our dinners.

Because of a suggestion by Icelandic Guest of Reykavik, we decided to try this restaurant. You have a choice of tails only or a combination of body and tails but we ordered the tails only. We received our food and were given special forks on how to pull out the luscious meat. It was very easy. They will give you... More

Wonderful menu! My husband had the langoustine and I the delicious asparagus. It was served with a fresh garden salad over a thick slice of toasted fresh whole grain bread topped with chutney. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. The menu offers Sancerre by the glass! WELL DONE! Wish I could return.

Based on the majority great reviews, after Jokulsarlon we drove to Hofn for early dinner at Humarhofnin restaurant. Hofn is a lovely fishing village on a peninsula in southeast Iceland, 450 km away from Reykjavik. Not many people were around but our orders took a long time. It didn't bother us though as we needed a break before driving 165... More
