We stayed next door at the Viking Hotel. Although there were no specific vegetarian options they provided us with a nice ravioli meal with a bread and pesto starter. We enjoyed apple pie with cream and ice-cream for dessert. A Viking strolled around singing songs...More

Came here with my family last Sunday night. It was empty when we came in. Ordered the catch of the day which was cod, cheeseburger, lamb shank and a child’s meal of chicken drumsticks. There was no live entertainment on this night. After we ordered...More

Although it was crowded the night I was there, I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I had fish of the day and it not only looked appetizing, it was. A bit pricey, but this is Iceland! Waitress was attentive. The entertainment...More

Come hungry. The steak sandwich was a lot of food and reasonably priced. There was also a man and a woman that walked around and sang songs while you dined.

Had the Viking feast and it was all of strange, quirky and very good. Reasonable priced considering this is Iceland

So have you seen those reality shows where they eat dinner here and there's a bustling crowd, lively feasting, chaotic music and a room full of Vikings? Yeah. That's not real life. There was literally one other family in the restaurant when we were here...More

I´m sorry to hear you did not like our place :( But I don´t know why you thought it was like in some TV show... This is a Viking Restaurant with live entertainment most nights. You did probably come in on a quiet night, that...More

We took the fish of the day (good) and the lamb shank (very good). Good service. Too touristic and too kitsch to feel to be in thr viking era. Anyway a good dinner.

My husband and I made the trip from Reykjavík to the Viking Restaurant as I had anticipated a great atmosphere and fun environment. When we walked into the restaurant we could basically hear crickets...that is to say almost no one was there. As there was...More

We went in the off-season, there are hamburger, soup and fish dinners on the menu, no buffet. From the pictures in the hotel, it looks like the Viking feast goes on during a weekend of summer.
