Our Airbnb host recommended this place. It was very dark when we went and it appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. We were the only customers but were greeted with a complimentary drink. The food was wonderful. I had salt roasted whole trout with very good rosemary potatoes and vegetables. When the waiter told us about the deserts they all seemed to involve cottage cheese but when I asked if there was anything else he mentioned chocolate souffles. They were seriously good. If we had been in the area longer we would have returned, at around 30 euros each it was also good value

Ok..first thing is the staff. Friendly, helping, cool. Second thing is food. Chefs greetings from kitchen was homemade game pate. Lovely! We ordered garlic and mushroom soup. Creamy garlic soup with the right amount of flavour. Mushroom soup had perfectly sliced mushrooms in it and it was delicious (next time we will share one bowl,cuz portions are generous). Than we orderd fried frog legs. I had that for the first time and i was setisfied. They ware perfectly fried and that jogurt sauce..mmm! The main dish was for me game goulash with cheese strudel (i smeared that plate with bread). Girl had trout with all kinds of side dishes and it was banging! Salad had their own dressing - love it! 2 glasses of white wine, 1 bitterlemon, 1pepsi.. 68€ ..i also had a aperitif. We are so coming back.

The restaurant has a nice terrace, part of which is in natural shade, under big trees near a brook. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is really good. They are preparing Slovenian dishes with a modern twist. It's not a cheap eatery, but you will leave very satisfied.

This is a very pleasant location on a hot summer's day. The restaurant was quite busy but not packed. Firstly we waited an awfully long time to get a drink and the menus. We all ordered starters, those who ordered soup got theirs first and the rest waited and waited ... 80 minutes after ordering the starters arrived. The main courses also arrived in groups.
The food itself was a mixed bag, most was very good. High points were the ribs and the Indian style soup, low points were the frogs' legs and the chicken tikka masala which had a very runny sauce. A few items would have benefited from a touch of salt. The waiters were very nice but obviously there were organisational problems in the kitchen. In all fairness we were a group of eight but we had reserved so they knew what was coming. A smaller group, I have no doubt, would not experience these problems but they did spoil what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable occasion.

After finishing the archery course, our group of seven had lunch on the patio. I never would have found this excellent restaurant without a friend’s recommendation. We had great service and excellent food in a beautiful, forested valley. It’s worth the drive from Bled.

Delicious traditional Slovenian food, excellent service and portion sizes, great value for money. Not the easiest to find but a great recommendation from the locals. Hidden treasure.

We really enjoyed our drinks and very tasty ice creams after our walk. The service is an example how service should be. She was great for us and the kids.

This place is off the beaten path but well worth the trip. The local food is wonderful and they were even able to serve my wife a gluten free meal that looked and tasted amazing, her words not mine. Would eat here again.
Recommendation the garlic soup as a starter.

I've hiked down to this location in the Fall but the restaurant was closed. Upon coming back in the Summer, we decided to have lunch here. It was fabulous! I had wild garlic soup, salad, and chicken with buckwheat dumplings. It was a lot of food and incredibly satisfying.

Our Air BnB host recommended this restaurant and gave directions to the end of the road leading into the forest. It felt a bit like Hansel and Gretel! But the getting there was only half the fun - the food was delicious, with a strong focus on local game and our waiter was chatty and interesting. We had the place to ourselves at 7.30 pm on a Sunday evening which was quite lovely. Generous servings too. The prices were fair.

It is not 5 star hotel, but clean and decent rooms in the building located in the middle of forest.
Staff is very friendly and professional - Mirko, we salut you! :-) Breakfast was delicious.

Very enjoyable visit with great food and amazing scenery. Try the garlic soup. It is green but don't let that fool you. Its amazing.

We were here for the second time and were able to repeat our positive experiences from last year 😃
In addition to the good food, there is also good advice in German 👍
The beautiful landscape rounds off the walk.
The car can safely stay in the village - but there is also a good parking space here.
