FIrst of all. The house it self is a part of industrial history of Akureyri.
It has been refurbished tastefully and gives you that historical feeling.
The staff was extremely nice .
Food was surpricingly good for the price range.
The dishes looked nice and...good tasteMore
The food was delicious, in fact it was so good we wanted to stay there all day. The staff was lovely and the place is clean and beautiful. Definitely worth the visit! We have never bothered with reviewing restaurants before but just had to do...it for Bryggjan, Akureyri! So, so, so, SO GOOD!More
Great service, delicious food.
If you’re in Akureyri then it is a must to eat there.
We came by and the restaurant was full, we did not have a reservation and asked them to call us if some table would become available and we got...a call half an hour later.More
Super good food! We were a family of 3 and ordered a pizza, duck quesadilla and a kids chicken pasta. Loved all of the dishes and service was excellent too. Will definately go here again, even considering coming back tomorrow.
Checked a couple of days ago and saw a good review for fish and chips so we went here. Fish and chips unfortunately off the menu, got chicken soup, Louisiana chicken and two kid burgers. Service was extremely slow and they mixed our order with...the next table over. Soup was very average, Louisiana breaded chicken was very similar to what you can buy frozen at Costco. Not sure why this dish is on the menu, it's super basic with a spicy sauce, but of lettuce and fries. Kid burgers were chewy as they were overdone.
Greifinn was much better if you're looking at places in Akureyri as we went there as well during this trip.More
The restaurant was cosy and looked nice. We saw a menu online but it was not the same menu and was more expensive. When we arrived we didn’t get a warm welcome, the staff ignored us at the reception for a long time and did...not greet us. When we got a table we waited a long time for the menu and when we finally ordered we waited over an hour for the food which was average. The service was very slow and the staff was unfriendly. We notified our waitress that we had waited for over an hour for the food she did not seem to care about it at all. Over all not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend this place.More
