Pristine mountain fast flowing streams and rivers with their extremely clean water produce the sweetest, most luscious rainbow trout you could ever have. Noa's chef treats the fish with great respect and sensitivity and serves a perfectly prepared, succulent fish, served with a chef salad. Also memorable were the extraordinary comfortable upholstered chairs.

Noa is not in the busiest part of Akureyri, it's set in the old town part. We enjoyed an excellent fish meal, with a nice fjord view and the nice ambiance of the restaurant. For starters we shared an excellent lobster soup, delicious local curated meats and cheese, and a lobster salad with lemon vinaigrette. The catch of the day... More

Great evening tasting some of Noa's delights including some of the best (according to our reviewer) moist and tasty rainbow trout, simple butter sauté cod, beef tenderloin and lamb tenderloin. Both meats were beautifully presented on elongated wooden carving boards in a brown mushroom sauce and with a mix of roasted vegetables, some blueberries and two portions of a Brie... More

This restaurant's specialty was locally-caught seafood sauteed with vegetables in a small fry pan using loads of butter. That said, as long as you can take the butter, it was excellent. My fish was a wolffish and it was outstanding. I also had a kind of lobster bisque that was layered and complex - better than the really good fish.... More

What a wonderful place slightly outside of the downtown area. It is definitely worth the walk. The fish soup was tasty and the catch of the day came to our table in a hot skilet delivered by the chef.

Delicious rainbow trout served in a hot iron skillet. Artfully served including a chef's salad. The best though was the molten chocolate cake dessert. Worth the wait.

I had the Cod and it was really good! The sides were also good. Fast and polite service, I would repeat in my next visit to Akureyri

Was a great experience: food wasn't perhaps Michelin star level, but it was fresh, local and well prepared - well worth the money. The service was friendly, quick and professional, and the interior is really fantastic

Everything we ordered is salty.....the salad, the fish and the meat. We did tell the waiter just after having the salad, but the main dishes are still not better. Very disappointed for such high rating in TA.....and the price too.

This place was really cool for several reasons and of the 5 or 6 restaurants that I tried in Akureyri, Noa was by far my favorite. Decor: From the outside, Noa appears rustic and simple, but upon entering the scenery changes dramatically—paintings and sculptures I wanted to examine; even the furniture appealed to me because the tables and chairs varied...
