Best restaurant in town. Great tasting menus and fantastic sushi. Love it and always go there if there is something to celebrate.

In 2013, my husband and I were in Akureyri for our 24th wedding anniversary. Someone recommend Rub 23, so we went. The food was wonderful and the wait staff great. This year, we were back there for our 30th anniversary - and again, we had...More

We heard so much about the sushi at this place that we made a visit. The waiter was in a hurry and couldn't click his pen fast enough and get to the next table. We ordered sushi - 3 types - the sushi pizza was...More

A brilliant meal at this locally focussed Restaraunt - great food, brilliant service and one of the best eating experiences I’ve had - I’ll be back.

Stopped by this quaint restaurant in Akureyri on last Saturday night. We were very impressed with the decor, menu, service, and staff. The food was excellent, wine list impressive and service impeccable.

This place is not nice inside, food was below average, and service was slow and not friendly. We had exceptional food in most places around Iceland, this was our least favorite. Sushi was just Ok. We ordered a 6 course meal, portions were small and...More

Went there and did enjoy it. The beef was cooked properly and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The salad was a little tasteless , the dressing was oil based . The drinks like all of Iceland a little bit over priced .the martini vodka was...More

RUB 23 is downtown and easy walking distance to shopping and bars. If going in May - September, I imagine you must make reservations. Food was great, service OK....top notch restaurant, but servers were young and inexperienced.
