For our second good meal in Iceland, we went to Rub23 on our third night in Iceland. It’s a warehouse converted into 2 dining areas. My wife chose a nice glass of Italian red. I am having Spicy Love – Tequila gold, passionfruit puree, lemongrass...syrup, grenadine and chilli syrup They don’t provide bread, but tasty popcorn. We are doing 2 different 3-course tasting menus – Adventure Festival for my wife, Fish Festival for me. My first course is Sesame-creole seared tuna, scallops and tiger prawns, arctic char tempura. The tuna and the arctic char were great. My wife's first course was surf and turf – sushi pizza and ten ten three. I tasted some of the sushi – they were very good. My second course is Robata grilled salmon with soya-sesame glace & miso-marinated cod. Both pieces of fish was well cooked and had lots of flavor! Rati’s second course is Grilled beef tenderloin with potato, vegetables, and soya glaze. This was OK – the beef was not as tender and difficult to cut through. For dessert course I had Creme brulee and blueberry skyr ice cream – the skyr based ice cream was excellent. The second dessert was sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream – outstanding! We have to make this dessert at home!More

Stopped in on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was crowded, but not completely full. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. We started with the Sushi Pizza. It is mentioned in numerous reviews. It was very good and something I had never...had before. For dinner we had grilled lamb (very good) and the mixed fish plate. Both were very good. It ended up being more food than we could eat. The wine list was serviceable and the cocktail menu was fairly extensive. N*Joy!More

Went there with a large group of 13 friends. All had food and drink. The food was excellent and the service we received at the table was top class. We are however very disappointed with the service we received when paying. The head waiter overcharged...us and was not very helpful in trying to solve the issue.More

Neat place. I was hungry. I ordered the sashimi plate, which contained twelve pieces of various seafoods. A combination of flavors. My appetite was sated.

The food was delicious. I had the lobster salad maki, and the Artic char. I also had a fantastic Berry Martini. The best food I had in all of Iceland, as well as where I live in NY. Wish I had more time to go...there a second time before I had to leave for Reykjavik.More

The food was excellent, but the service was very poor. I never considered walking on a check due to how we were ignored the entire evening. The host, who was in charge of giving us the bill ( verbally, nothing on paper) would not even...make eye contact with us. And this is in small town Iceland?! I have been to NYC many times and have been greeted with greater warmth.More

Superb fresh seafood, the sushi options were every bit as good as you get in Japan. The fish platter was superb, everything was so fresh and the scallops were huge and perfectly cooked. Good wine selection. Not cheap, but this is Iceland!!

Varied menu that should suit most people. I had scallops and prawns for starter, very tasty, although the peanuts seemed out of place. Steak that followed was amazing, adding to it is that unlike other places, the potato was not the main condiment. Star of...the evening for me was the best crème brûlée I have ever had, served with fresh blueberries and blueberry ice cream. Outstanding. I recommend.More

Unbelievably delicious food with a fantastic menu, wonderful ambience and great cocktails. The only thing letting it down was the service - friendly staff but very slow. The food, when it came, was wonderful.

Not the best restaurant we have eaten at in Iceland. I would say it was good but nothing really special and was a bit pricy. it seemed to me that the place was rather famous for cocktails.

Informal and very good but we prefer Strikid. Service was somewhat inattentive. Lamb was outstanding. Delicious Icelandic potatoes. They have a lot of sushi on offer and the places we saw looked really nice, but we did not order it.
