Nice view and menu…but be careful with some descriptions in English. Menu lists a beef tenderloin on the expensive Set Menu, but what was served me was more a bavette or flank steak. Disappointing and misleading.

Big place, but run with exceptional efficiency and friendliness. Wide-ranging menu but we’ll presented and one where you can choose not to spend too much!

My family visited while traveling the Ring Road. Excellent food, excellent view, excellent value (especially when you can eat a lot!)

Really lovely spot for some tasty food. We opted for a few appetisers instead of mains and they were all lovely. Great view and great people working there. Very glad we stopped in here after a freezing morning looking (unsuccessfully) for whales in nearby Husavik....Definitely on the expensive side but do it if you can. Parking lot right across the street.More

Food was delightful, service even more so. Amazing location, with incredible views. The lunch menu is fairly restricted but sushi, fish, chicken and beef options, what’s not to like. Also happy hour on drinks from 11:30 to 2pm so reasonably priced too.

We had an excellent meal here, and were very impressed with the service from Gloria. We decided to have several starters to share rather than go for the mains, and Gloria advised which would be the more filling ones.

The food and service were both fantastic here. The view was also a great and we had a wonderful evening. We also visited Rub23 when we were in Akureyi and, whilst both had incredible food, Strikid was better all round experience because of the food...service.More

We went for an evening meal and loved it. The service was lovely and the food was excellent. We had the three course menu and every course was very good and tasty. Just loved the white chocolate dessert!

We went to this restaurant as a birthday dinner for my husband. We had a nice table near the window but other than that they didn't acknowledge the occasion in any other way even though I had indicated it on the reservation. The service was...prompt and efficient. All of our meals were excellent. We had the set menu - one with the salmon and another with the beef tenderloin. This is an expensive restaurant but we enjoyed the meal.More

The restaurant is on the 5th floor (with balcony) overlooking the fjord. Delicious and perfectly prepared lamb and salmon offered with Continental flair but not precious. Fabulous potatoes, too. Excellent glass of Chilean Cabernet. Good service. Not cheap but definitely worth it. Ate there twice....They also have weekend brunches. Informal but very high quality food.More

Everything was sooo delicious! We ordered the set menu: langoustine maki, the salmon and the white chocolate cake. Definitely worth it!

A delightful first Iceland dinner. We weren’t that hungry, and were pretty exhausted from a full day of travel. But the spectacular food (langoustine tacos, Arctic char “pizza,” cauliflower and langoustine Mako sushi rolls, etc etc…revived our spirits. Excellent service by our charming waitress. Cosmopolitan...setting but we felt comfortable in our very casual clothes.More

Great tasting food! We were originally turned off by the sushi and us wanting authentic Icelandic food but they do the sushi and small apps with Icelandic twists…and everything was delicious. Husband and I just ordered a handful of snacks, apps and sushi and it...was more than enough for dinner. Online reservations were not available but we went anyway and just asked for a table. They sat us right away!! If you’re looking for simple meat and potatoes or burgers this is probably NOT your place.More

The food here is good and the views are very nice but the terrible service ruined our experience. We had to order multiple times and finally received our drinks and food nearly one hour after our reservation time. Some items we ordered never arrived and...we finally just wanted to get out of there. We dealt with at least a couple waitresses who obviously had no training and no idea what they were doing. You shouldn’t charge high-end prices if you aren’t able to provide basic service.More

In September 2014, there was nothing vegetarian on the menu (don't know about gluten free). Chef did fix a vegetarian pasta dish (so not gluten free), that was quite tasty.
