We stopped at Kristjans to get a loaf of whole grain sandwich bread (to pack lunches whilst traveling) and a danish for breakfast! All of them were good, just typical Iceland pricey for products. Had a danish with yellow filling and almonds and it was very good!

I think the title should tip you off- Akureyri needs more bakeries. Nothing special here. The pastries were bland. The bread was ok.

Stopped in for a light lunch as an economical alternative to the other full service restaurants along the main shopping street. While it is primarily a bakery, it also offers several sandwiches that are freshly prepared. You can eat inside, but it is more fun to take your food outside and "people watch" if the weather permits.

It's cheap and quick but the pastries were stale. Not a bad spot for a drink but I would skip the food.

Short stop for snack, pastries were good with large selection friendly service seating inside and out. Coffee was weak with not much flavour , disappointing.

Was referred here by our hotel. It was nice to get away from the breakfast buffet. Sandwiches, pastries, coffee, etc. No english signs or labels, but the staff did speak english.

Disembarking a cruise ship and walking down the street of this small Icelandic town, this was the first free internet cafe which soon became crowded with ship passengers who wanted to sample local baked goods. Since I had just finished a huge breakfast on the Lido deck of the ship, I was not able to sample the baking here. However,... More

Meaty sandwiches leave vegetarians with one little option—cucumber and tomato on a roll. Not very filling. I was told that the asparagus pizza had ham hidden in it, even though meat wasn't listed in the ingredients.

Convenient cafe near the town square with good friendly service and nice pastries to eat in or takeaway. Inside or outside dining areas.

Nice busy Cafe and Bakery in the city centre, lots of variety of baked goods and bread, good coffee. Good wifi, no complaints!
