If you go in thinking this is ice cream you will be disappointed. If you go in thinking of it like ice milk, I think you will be happier. First of all, it's soft serve.. and it was light and not too sweet and the...array of toppings is amazing. However, it's icy and not at all creamy. I prefer hand-dipped and creamy ice cream all day so this didn't work for meMore

The ice cream is very good. There are a lot of combinations that you can make. I had the medium twister - delicios but very big - I couldn’t eat it all 😅

3 words… licorice milkshake = YUM. Best licorice ice cream we had while in Iceland. The place is low key and the staff are friendly.

A pleasant 20" walk from town center to an authentic Icelandic ice cream shop frequented more by locals than tourists. It's soft serve that tastes fresh and natural and the hard chocolate topping is luscious!

This place is so hyped as the best ice-cream, and it truly is not. It is fine as far as soft serve goes, but the flavors are limited. You can get it dipped, but you can also get dipped soft serve that is just as...good at gas stations. Do yourself a favor and try farm fresh ice cream at one of the local farms instead. If you do go to Brynja, there is a very small parking lot next door, as well as a few picnic tables and benches.More

the ice cream was nearly flavorless - you could barely tell the difference between the chocolate and vanilla! it didn't taste bad, but below average as regards to superior ice cream. the dipped coating was a nice touch.

For some reason, Iceland has amazing soft serve and this place was the best of them all. It came with a flavour dunk and you could also add toppings as well as change the flavour of your soft serve. The server was extremely friendly and...their sizes are no joke. Amazing amazing treat.More

We read reviews and had to come here! The lady inside was so helpful and patient when we were trying to decide what we wanted. We received way more ice cream than expected and I certainly was not complaining! Highly recommend the mint Oreo mixture.

Not bad but not especially memorable either. Other places, like Valdís and Skúbb, have better ice cream.

Excellent Ice Cream made with milk instead of cream. Cozy shop with large selection of toppings. A must stop if you are visiting Akureyri.
