If you like a little bit more than traditional Christmas treat Gustav Wasa is a place to go in Vaasa. The place is serving fine dining selection of fish, cold cuts and warm meal plus a delicious desert consisting of ice cream selection. The place is well worth visiting around the year when you look for more serious cooking. Friendly... More

A great place for fine dining in Vaasa, great menus with local ingredients and nice wine pairings. Warmly recommended.

Excellent dining experience, we took the GW7 tasting menu. Wine cellar is good with famous names, we took an Italian wine from Tuscany (very good). What was impressing was the ability to mix high cuisine with local Finnish products. Definitely the best restaurant in Vaasa.

We were six persons having dinner at Gustav Wasa´s Gastropub. Nice interior, but very limited menu, only 5-6 main courses. Beef tenderloin (35 €) was far too expensive. I took perch and vendace fish & chips (20 €), quite small but tasty portion. There were plenty of crafted (also organic) beers available which was a nice surprise. You could also... More

I had a meeting at lunch time here. So we also had a lunch at a same time. A great one! The service was excellent and the wine selection was nice. We had five course degustation menu which was ideal for us. I checked the menu and I would really love to visit here again and try dinner.

We tried the three-course menu, which included an amuse bouche, as well as, cheese before the dessert. Service was very friendly and the decor of the restaurant was very cozy. We were very satisfied with our food. The only minus was that the main course was that night not up to the normal standard (maybe a tired chef?), but we... More

The restaurant is good although oriented to the high level. Dont' go there if you just want to eat. Go there if you want to enjoy food and selected wines. For special dinners..

Very cool meal experience. We ordered the 5 course meal. The menu changes every night, and you never know what you will eat until the food comes to the table. Each course is paired with its own unique wine to maximize the flavors. 5 courses, 5 bottles of wine. Each course was unique and went perfect with the sine. Will... More

I had the 3 course menu (fish) and it was very tasty, I liked the wine too. The service was very good and the waiters spoke English very well. The portions were small for my standards ( I eat a lot) but for most of the people I was with, it was just enough. I would go back again.

Thank Lamossella
