This place is one of a kind - amazing, beautifully finished restaurant. And same goes with the food - it’s something one can’t even dream of! We visited there for a brunch on saturday, and it felt more like proper dinner tasting, than a brunch....There were so many flavours on multiple plates, and the hospitality was great! Excellent food with under slight christmas theme. Three dishes had much more in practice. Local seafood especially good.
This place might be ok for people who like greasy and heavy pub grub. But for vegetarians it’s a nightmare. I just got some sort of a greasy, fried kitchen sink for dinner.
When I completed the Master degree, I ordered the 7 course menu with pared drinks in Gustav Wasa. The evening was saved by the great taste and waitress who explained a lot about the food & drinks in an interesting manner. Due to this experience,...I planned a new event here and came by for drinks while doing so. I can warmly recommend Gustav Wasa, the evenings I have spend there are now beautiful memories that I would love to re-live again. Service, food, drinks and location are fantastic.More
Great food, friendly multilingual staff and nice ambience. There is an option to just sit down for a drink, enjoy an á la carte meal or experience their seven course tasting menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town!
We ate the GW 7 menu with matching drink menu. The food and drinks were excellent and we loved it all. Our waiter made the experience even better with his professional but easy attitude. restaurant is overall cosy but unfortunately our small gruop, 4 persons, was placed next to a large loud group, 10 persons, in a really small room. was dissapointed in price/quality. simple tomatosuop that was watery and tastless cost 14€. overall the food is not worth...that price. i have been eating better starters, maincourse and desserts with less price in Vaasa. None in my group was fan of their food and willing to come back.More
This restaurant is in the basement of a building in the center of Vaasa and his aspect is very particular. Looking at the rooms, the tables and the furniture it seems to be in an old castle. The menu is typical Finnish and the food...is excellent. Overall, a very good experience!More

I went vegetarian and had a delightful meal. Rich favours and good textures. A nice vibe too. Highly recommended. Next time I'll try the tasting menu. Thanks.

We were a party of seven that came for the seven course tasting menu. The setting was good, although being cooped up in a brick cellar on a beautiful evening was a bit of a downer. The food and service made up for this easily....Two of the party had a vegan dinners and it was just as good as the other's. The wine package combination was suitable. Definitely recommended!More
