After two cancelled table bookings due to renovation and COVID issues and a request from the restaurant to rearrange the time we finally managed at the fourth attempt to have a meal at Kaskis. The new 'concept' is most certainly different as there is only...a set menu of nine very small courses provided for all diners complimented with either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks menu. All the food ingredients are sourced locally, so we are told although the non-alcoholic drinks menu includes and American beer that I wouldn't cross the street for. One cannot criticise the attentive manner of the staff, the quality of the way in which the food has been cooked, but the presentation appears to be motivated by a Monet enthusiast with far too many bright blue, white and yellow flowers decorating the various creations. For me this was all unnecessary and did not add to the purity of the real food. As we have previously noted, some courses comprise the cheapest ingredients and when one considers the total cost of the meal the accountant must be extremely pleased with the profit margins. Kaskis is a very small establishment, the decor is simple. Table placements do not conform to social distancing recommendations and provide little room for wait staff to pass between diners. Walls are plain and noise levels can be high at times so for an establishment that boasts fine dining there must be better options. I hesitate to suggest that Kaskis although being special in some sense, is surviving on a reputation that is somewhat misguided or simply caters to the egoist.More

6 totally different portions but excellent entirety. Very expensive and full booked restaurant but worth every euro (cents dont count in this restaurant).

If you are looking to splurge on fine dining to celebrate those special occasions in your life then Kaskis is the place to be! But you better remember to reserve early ahead because it is quite heavily booked most of the time. We went for...a couple's dinner here and selected the 6-course meal with the 6 wine selections. That's the most recommended menu if you would like to have the full experience. The courses (3 starters, 2 main dishes, and 1 dessert) are each paired with the wines that complement the dishes the best. The chefs put extensive effort into coming up with quite experimental dishes that melt in your mouth. There are also options for 4 course-wine pairs and 5 course-wine pairs.More

We had the 6-course tasting menu with the wine pairing. Delicious food, interesting flavour combinations, knowledgeable waiting staff (speaking excellent English). Surely a Michelin star in the waiting!

Kaskis is best in town for fine dining experience. Reasonably priced, famous for their tasting menus and friendly service. Popular, hard to book a table

Fist a little bit of the circumstances occurred. In our group we had a 4 months old baby, and unfortunately just an hour before it rained heavily, meaning that we could not sit outside in the terrace. So it meant that we had the option...to sit inside, but there is not space for the buggy, so mother left the restaurant with the baby and we three stayed. No doubt the menu was nice, especially the filet was delicious. Outside the filet, it was only nice. What on the other hand made me uncomfortable, was the tight placing of tables so that the waiters had a lot of problems in serving the dishes. And the rush, what was with the dishes. I would have liked to enjoy more slowly the dishes, wines and the atmosphere, however when new dishes were coming again and again, it made me jumpy. Would I go again? Hmmm.More

We had great menus paired up with even greater wines. Staff was great too! Bit pricey, but worth it!

We chose the menu “Vitonen” including three starters, one main course, and a dessert. Especially the first starter, their famous version of Finnish raw fish “Kalarulla” was excellent as well as the main course Beef fillet. Everything was very fresh and portions beautiful. The wine...pairing was very good and the service professional. We really enjoyed our stay although the weather (and inside) was very hot. There’s also some noise of people talking a bit loud.More

By luck we were able to get a table af Kaskis. We had the four course menu. Very professional, very pleasant, very cool ( I think you can only get a job there if you have tattoos on every limb!) and really, really good food....Beautifully presented, lots of taste, balanced, exciting, local without the pooha that often goes along with that. Do whatever it takes to have a meal there!More
