Used to be my favourite cafe in Tampere. Paid several visits here this weekend visited twice. Used to have a good assortment of bakery items. Now a much limited one. Prices gone up and service not so excellent as before. No cash payment. Clean toilet....Code from the waitress.More
We were driving through Tampere with my belgian shepherd and had to stop to the very center of Tampere. Decided to take Nitro for a walk in the city as that was something he had never done so thought it would be a good experience...for him. We walked by Cafe Aitoleipä and I was bit hesitant if we could enter but on our way back I decided to open the door and ask. We were welcomed inside with warmth and Nitro got couple scratches and I get t my coffee and bread. Perfect!More
We visited this beautiful cafe in July 2020 and again December 2020. Breakfast and lunch were both excellent and the cake options we tried were delicious too. I can recomend visiting this for beakfast, lunch or just a coffee and a snack.
A nice place to have your lunch just in the downtown. This coffee house has large portions of salads and soups. The friendly staff takes care of your wishes (allergic etc.).
I went in for breakfast at around 8.30 because the cafe looked really nice with large windows overlooking Keskustori. The place was far from crowded, yet coffee cups, trays etc. remained piled up on most tables. There were two persons in front of me in...the queue ordering coffee. Ordering took so long that people behind me decided to leave. The waiter did not greet or acknowledge anyone waiting, her service (once I got that far) was friendly though. Coffee was good. I ended up having yogurt instead of the buffet breakfast because the bread did not look tempting. Yogurt was mediocre, had too much honey. I wish the owners obtained professional consulting on customer service etc as this could be a great place for a wonderful cafe.More
Great location, peacefull promising place, but service and food wasn’t that excellent. Ovenpotato was small, salad poor, and surprisingly bread wasn’t fresh! Staff seemed to be non-peofessional, but I managed to get rid of my hunger 😅
Café Aitoleipä is nice cosy Café at the center of Tampere. Coffee was strong and tasty. Apple pulla was delicious.
The cafe interior is very basic and does not stand out from among hundreds of similar cafes: tables and chairs. There is no menu outside, so you have to guess what they offer. The selection of beverages and foods is ok. The selection of teas...is very good, and they serve brewed tea, which is a big plus among cafes. The shrimp sandwich was also good, fresh and plentiful. Cleanliness is so-and-so, tables are not cleared fast enough. The place is very centrally located, another plus for the cafe.More
Very nice cafe, Scandinavian design, great cakes, friendly staff. We've tried several cafes in Tampere already and this would be one of our top choices.
While most restaurants in town were charging 35-50EUR for the traditional fish/herring brunch this light, bright and cheery cafe offered the same for 15.90EUR! Good quality food, buffet style, could not fault it. True, this cafe is not licensed but offered free juice with the...meal and a good coffee to follow. Way better than some of the more expensive alternatives . Will be back for a weekday lunch!More
Very good sandwiches - fresh and have a lot of fylling. And of course very friendly staff. They smile.
