If you want to taste local food and also feel the local atmosphere this is the right place. Not cheep but very tasty. The children also enjoyed so we had a great evening.

Very nice restaurant with typical Viking style. Harold Beer with honey and rendear were delicious as well the mushroom soup. We were there with colleagues and enjoyed the food. Price is for my feeling compared with Holland high but couldn't compare with other restaurants. Personal is friendly so I can recommend this if you go with a group.

Absolutely love this restaurant although it is quite expensive. A treat for a special occasion though. The food is unusual but excellent, the atmosphere is fantastic, and it is also family friendly. Every time I visit Tampere I just have to visit this restaurant.

This restaurant was noisy, drinks were expensive and service was slow. I'll be clear though there were tons of groups that seemed to be having a lot of fun. Just not for me.

Not so traditional Finnish food, but otherwise enjoyable dishes. Specially tasteing plates (kilpi) are good ones to try different foods and small bites. Also overcooked meats are juicy... Tar schnps and these kind of thing amuse foreign visitors

As you would expect at at theme restaurant like this, there is a good bit of unrealistic "Viking" atmosphere here. But take that in the right mood, and appreciate the interesting and unusual foods, served in surprisingly large quantity. The biggest surprise for me was the tar-flavored ice cream!

Somebody may say that this place is not authentic and made for tourists only, I won't argue. It is intended to attract tourists and make some money, however I do not see anything awful in this intention, especially since they offer good food, some ambiance and treat their guests friendly. I tried reindeer with quite a fancy side dish: mashed... More

I walked through -20 (Celsius) for half a mile and back to get to this place. Soooo worth it. Best beef stew of my whole life. The other dishes also looked good. Atmosphere was great, lots of theme without being too campy. Dessert was tiny, but ok, beer was decent, but the stew was friggin awesome.

Thank Tom H
