We came here for an early dinner before a theater experience. We made the mistake of ordering mezes, they were very tasty but after those we were already full; the main courses were really big, we just couldn’t eat them all. I had the prawns skewer, it had also halloumi, potatoes etc. simply just too much to eat (after the mezes) which was a pity, as it was delicious. My aunt had the fish (seabass), it’s good to note that it’s served as a whole so the person eating needs to be able and willing to bone the fish. At the end we got a nice surprise but I can’t share what it was as it wouldn’t be a surprise then anymore 😂 the service was really friendly.

The name of the restaurant gives you an impression of Finnish cuisine. However, it is Middle-Eastern.
Lots to eat, couldn't eat it all even though I was hungry. The fair-haired waitress was very experienced, kind and informative, explaining clearly all the different plates. The chicken was excellent, the prawns could have been more grilled. I can definitely recommend this place.

Very good value. We ordered set menu of small soup & salad, mezes and the main: grilled skewer. Everything was good. We were impressed by the well cooked beef and chicken skewers. All this with very friendly service. We will visit again! ;)

We came to the restaurant with a friend to celebrate my birthday. First male server was extremely nice to us, guided us to the table and gave recommendations regarding food and wine when asked. The drinks came quick and we didn't have to wait for the food that long either. Mid meal our server was changed to a female. She barely spoke to us, was visibly pissed off when we asked in more specific about the desert. We thought maybe she didn't quite understand us, but the way she was was tense. We waited a long time to get the bill as she dodged us and hid behind the bar. She finally brought them and said I had white wine. I corrected it was red and her reaction was "well it's the same price for all of them anyway". The food was really good, absolutely nothing to complain about. The portions were big so definitely you get what you pay for! Only this one server made our meal a bit uncomfortable and negative.

We waited for our food for 40 minutes. The table we got was next to an opening to the kitchen. The view was a messy area with garbage cans. We ate lamb stew which was tasty although the vegetables were partly overcookef/burned. The dessert which we wanted from the list was not available. Prior leaving we had to look gor the waiter to get our bill. I would not visit this restaurant again. It was also too hot inside.

Our reservation started at 6pm and we were told to leave the restaurant at around 7:15pm even though we still had wine in our glasses. The reason was that there were next customers waiting to get table. So prepare to eat fast. Also the main course, lamb was tasteless and not worth the money. Starters were good.

We visited restaurant on rainy Augast eve on Saturday, with friends... We had heard very good recomendations from our friends, but our experience exceeded all our expectations! portion sizes, prices, quality of food, flavours.... everything 6/5! Customer service was friendly and caring, we felt like we were visiting our old friends, we were treated warmly and with huge smile! Thanks for happy eve and will see you soon again!

Starters were excellent and so were service. Unfortunately main course was a disaster. I chose rack of lamb which was dry, tasteless and like chewing gum. Some of our group chose mediterranen plate and they said that texture were nice but it was tasteless.

Fantastic mediterran food in Tampere!
Try The Set menus in "Onni & Leo". You Will get warm lentil soup and a small salad. Then comes several delicious mezes on small plates. Finally a juicy chicken skewer finishes the experience with grilled aubergine.
A surprisingly fresh Turkish Rose wine finishes the meal. Highly recommended !

We went to this restaurant for early dinner. At that time we were the only clients but still we had to wait for our food for good one hour. The Moussaka was way too salty and burned from the top. The chicken skewer was burned as well. We mentioned this to the waiter but didnt get any response. This was 2nd and last time to this restaurant.

We had the Menu with soup, starter salad, some mezes, bread and a main course. The food was very tasty with great flavor. As we wanted to have wine with the food but had no idea about turkish wine, the waitress let us taste several ones, so that we could choose the one we liked best. Never had this kind of service in Finland before – excellent! We would like to point out that this place has not only delicious food but also excellent service. Felt very welcome all evening. Extra recommendation for this place!

Do not forget to reserve - the place is always full.
Tasty, ample portions af delicious food, especially the mezes.
Very friendly and fast service.
And the price level is correct.

We were very happy with our dinner at Onni ja Leo. The restaurant is open late on Fridays and Saturday, so -if you are OK with later dining- you have a chance to get a seat even on busy evenings. We truly enjoyed the concept and the smart "set menu" approach. The two of us got to taste/share 8 small appetizers and we took a main course (a skewer) after that. There was enough "playing " and exploring in the beginning, but the main course made sure we did not leave hungry. The menu offers a variety of Mediterranean/middle East flavours. The food was very fresh, especially the appetizers.
The price level is absolutely honest, and the atmosphere very cozy. We gladly recommend this place!

Disappointing compared to the lunch praises heard and the awards mentioned on the website. We had to wait a really long time for food, even though there were plenty of staff (or their friends...?) in the premises. The location of the table near the front door was attractive on a winter evening. The presentation of the dish was nice, the flavors were "just ok". Unfortunately, the place is overpriced for the quality of the experience.

Absolutely cosy little restaurant! Pre-booking must be done. We loved the place. Very lively, happy, friendly and crowded.
I was very surprised how wide the menu was. Maybe it was even too wide, but I am sure everyone finds something nice from the menu. You will not leave the place hungry.
