Authentic Japanese restaurant on Tampere

Having traveled several Times in Japan, I have to recommend this tiny restaurant in The Heart of Tampere ! Service was extremely friendly and their yakitori skewers were great! Edamame were not too salty and nigiries were fresh from kitchen. They have real Japanese chefs here, So you do not need to sorry about The quality of ingredients. No sushi buffet here ! Highly recommended !

My favorite restaurant in Tampere

Level of service and food is excellent. I usually order sushi, which I highly recommend. Rice Bowls are excellent too. On weekdays they have Happy Hour from 15.00 to 16.00 when you get Bowls and Sushi for very good price. Places is small, but i have always been able to get table when I walk in.

Excellent food & service

Fantastic warm starters & shared a sushi assortment for the main. Fresh, cool sake paired very well with the meal. The waiter provided excellent service & food came to the table pretty quickly despite the restaurant being full. Highly recommend for an authentic Japanese experience.

really good rice bowls. you can choose between different bowls like beef, pork and fried chicken. I had bbq beef bowl and it was really delicious. if you are in tampere I can really recommend this restaurant

One warm summer day

Great tasty food looking food and friendly service. However the restaurant was very small and not a great experience on a hot summer day leavingus wondering how fresh the food is with bad aircondition and how fresh everything stays on a hot summer day. A bit high in price, but the best tasting sushi in Finland so far. The popularity of the place deserves a bigger restaurant. Great homepages, but leaves the wrong idea. To small restaurant for enjoying eating out.

Fujimi has never disappointed me. Always the best Japanese restaurant in town. I was with a friend who said that he hasn’t noticed much difference in sushis before, but was really delighted and said he’s never had sushi as good as this.

perfect salmon sashimi

perfect salmon sashimi which melts in your mouth. a good feel to this tiny sushi place. also liked the fact that they brought the edamame after the sashimi.

Tastiest sushi in Tampere

I have been eating lunch several times in Fujimi and it has never disappointed me. Rice is boiled perfectly and sea products are very fresh. All the flavor combinations are well thought and serving is also beautiful. Cannot recommend more!

One of the truly great sushi places in Finland – good service for vegans too

Mostly the sushi you find served in Finnish restaurants is mediocre, or at best acceptable, and the market focuses on all-you-can-eat buffets. For some reason, Tampere has for some time featured two excellent á la carte service sushi restaurants, much better than anything I have eaten elsewhere in the country. Now we have a third one, and all in the same town! Fujimi surprised me with a well thought-out selection of vegetarian sushi (which can be ordered as a vegan version). The champignon and the zucchini nigiri had delicate roasted flavour coupled with the house herb sauce. The maki rolls had carrot cooked just right, so the distinctive sweet aroma comes out without losing the texture. The inari sushis were as they are at their best, the perfect dessert. i will definitely return here for a full dinner, since the starters sounded interesting, especially the spicy edamames with miso!
