This traditional covered market place is worth a visit if you are in town. It is centrally located next to the shopping streets and malls. If you want coffee or meal or you want to make food shopping all are possible. You can also taste some regional specialties and delicacies such as black sausage.

We were impressed at the variety of food found in three alleys of shops. Other than the usual veges and raw meats, there was also plenty of foods that are ready to eat from the various stores, as well as the cafes and restaurants that are strategically located within the market hall. Some of the stores do not have their... More

I really like this small, cosy and historical building. Lot to see and really nice good small lunch restaurants. Do not miss to visit just on the corner of the city center.

There is a small, very ordinary, breakfast buffet table and during the lunch hours you can get the soup of the day. This cafeteria is a chain, so unfortunately you can't get any home made tasting cakes, like from some other cafeterias in this market hall.

This small food market emphasizes seafood and meat, and you might expect, but also has plenty of veggie, cheese, and other stalls. A number of small restaurants provide good options for a quick meal, too. The service is excellent, and there is great attention to selling excellent food. It was great watching a lady order a salmon filet, seeing the... More

Inside you'll find among other stalls Ohana lei'pomo which has two stalls, one a bakery the other a burger joint. THE BEST burgers in town!

We ate at Nelja Aika resto which was very good and we recommend it for a lunch in nice surroundings. The chef owner is French and the daily menu reflects it.

You can find all sorts of delicacies here to take home and cook or eat at the spot. The atmosphere is somewhat maybe touch more welcoming than the usual Finnish feel, so even if you are not buying anything it is worth window shopping. Tons of organic and local produce available all year round.

Nice little indoor market with lots of delicious food, great colours, small cafés (some with decent coffee!) and an excellent restaurant (the Four Seasons - try the bouillabaisse!). Should be on the must-see-list of any visitor of Tampere. There are toilets in the market, but they cost €1; you're better off at the Sokos department store next door, which has... More
