We came here recommended by our hotel and we relished it! It's russian style food and it was a long time since we last enjoyed this. The food was very refined. Add to that the dishes, the cutlery and the restaurant's decorations it felt as if you were dining someplace else. A feast for both eyes and mouth!

We were close to Bellevue around tea time so we decided to go there for tea and coffee and some typical Russian buns. Everything was delicious and the service was extremely professional and friendly. We really enjoyed it!

We came to Bellevue to eat bear (on the bucket list). The interior has a very special, Russian style, and the host is very friendly. The taste of bear meat is very particular but it is certainly not a "must have done".

Very atmospheric! Appeared closed at first glance, but after seeing a lit candle we opened the door. Service was professional and friendly. The food was good, albeit overpriced. The borscht was fantastic. My only complaint is that they are fishing for tips with their card payment system. This is a blight on Nordic restaurant in touristed areas. If a restaurant... More

Bellevue is the oldest Russian restaurant in Helsinki (established already in 1917) and boasts to be the "oldest Russian restaurant outside of Russia in the world".. my first-hand experience does not go that far, but the restaurant has existed in Katajanokka district nearby the Orthodox Church as long as I can remember. However, Bellevue has never been a true neighbourhood... More

Excellent food on a elegant environment that takes you back to the Czar times. Try the Strogonoff accompanied with a nice cold cranberry vodka !!

I went here, to this old traditional restaurant to celebrate 1st of May. They had a Brunch on that day rather than the usual menu. This meant that I was able to sample many of my favourite Russian dishes, like Blinies with roe, and salt pickled cucumber with honey and Smetana. Wonderful but a little heavy. A really good place... After reading a little about this Russian restaurant established in 1917 we looked at the menu & decided it was worth a visit. It is a little way from the city centre, located in a street behind the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, but we caught a tram & afterward enjoyed our walk back to Hotel Indigo. The service we received was... More

Bellevue is the oldest Russian restaurant in Helsinki, founded in 1917 and has ever since been known for its good food and unique atmosphere. The old and valuable paintings, chairs and chandeliers take you back to the days of the Czar. The authentic Russian atmosphere is completed by classical Russian music in the background. Also the menu brings old Russian cuisine to you. The chefs are flexible and highly professional, so if one of your favorite classic Russian dishes is not on the menu, it is always worthwhile asking for it. There are also three private rooms in the restaurants.
