Modern Finnish food with flavors from nature. Uses ingredients that are not commonly used. But are still traditionally Finnish. Main courses of fish and lamb are exceptional. Try the licorice creme brûlée for dessert! Three course menu is a good value for money.

This restaurant is a true gem! The world class chefs have approached traditional Finnish food by applying the most modern and cutting edge science and art of cooking. For a Finn this was a most astonishing experience and I am so excited and happy that now we have a restaurant in helsinki which is able to deliver a culinaristic experience... More

Ok, so this is one of these places, with is dedicated mostly for TASTING rather than eating. The food quality is great as in pretty much most of the places in Helsinki, but the portions are "cat-size". They cook slowly and they bring dishes slowly while you starve and eat tons of bread, that they bring to your table so... More

The restaurant is small and quiet, with a lot of Art Nouveau style bas reliefs on the walls and a fireplace full of candles. The menu is fairly small. My husband ordered the whitefish special, and I had the vegetable "hash" of chanterelles, potatoes, turnips, beans, peas, carrots and a sour cream sauce. Both were delicious.

Classic, lovely neighborhood restaurant. Full of Finns and a few tourists enjoying fresh, beautifully prepared riffs on Finnish food. Food is light and seasonal. Vibe in restaurant is really happy with delightful staff and a lot of visibly delighted customers.

Last time I was here 10 years ago. I remember that I enjoyed the food and decor of the place and I did the same this time. The dinner was really good, we had a 'muikku' appertiser and then white fish as the main. Especially muikku fish dish was excellent. With the main dish I would have expected this season's... More

Very short menu but what a fantastic preparation. I had marinated Vendace, which is very rare to get in the restaurants. Light, tender, tart - fantastic. Followed with whitefish fillet (shortly poached) in dill sauce, with young potatoes and slightly warmed cucumbers and young spinach. One of the best combinations ever had! For the end - liquorice creme brulee, and even... More

We visited there for dinner and we both ate three course menu. We took baby lamb tartar and fried chicken and sweetbread for starter. For main we took arctic charr and horse fillet. For dessert we took rhubarb with meringue and creme brulee with liquorice twist. Starters will get three stars, all the rest courses four stars. Service was good,... More

Had a dinner there with two friends. Two of us took fish and one of us took something vegetarian. All of us thought that the food was a bit tasteless. I think we paid too much for such average dishes.

We had a lovely business dinner in the restaurant. The place used to be an artist atelje, so the interior in protected and the name comes from that. Food is excellent and service very professional. Do not skip the desserts. Good value for good quality. Walking distance from the main center area.
