We came with high expectations since there has been a hype about this place in social media. Unfortunately we were quite dissapointed. Most of us started with Vitello Tonato which was really badly oversalted. We all said the same comment about that dish. Moving on...to the pasta - tagliatelle con scampi lacked flavour and was very bland. Also for the price (26€) would have expected more scampi, the amount was quite ridiculous (there was hardly any). Crema Bruciata was great. Service was okay, but lacked charisma so to say. What I mean with this is that they were okay and polite but no more than that - no smiles, no passion, nothing extra what great service is all about. I recently reserved a dinner for our company get together. We had never been here and had no idea what to expect but from before I even got to the restaurant, their service was impeccable. They answered all my emails as I had to take...a cake to the restaurant before our reservation. Once we got there, service was just top-notch. We were a group 10 and had a few different waiters. They were quick to respond to any requests, quick with service and happy to help throughout our evening. I departed around 10pm, we started already at 6pm but some of our group were having such a good time they stayed until the restaurant closed, haha. Anyway, if I could give them a 10/10 I would. The food was delicious, the wine recommendations perfect and everyone complimented the food and had a fabulous evening so thank you! I will definitely book more events at your venue in the future.More

Very good experience! Pastas and pizzas were delicious, the place was nice and the staff was friendly. Exceptionally quick reaction for the intention to pay the bill, which was great customer service. I will definitely cole again!

We visited the restaurant with a group of friends. The place is cozy, stylish and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. And most importantly the food was amazing!

We had such a delicious dinner at Locanda Scappi! Highly recommend to order many different portions and share all with friends to get truly Italian experience. So many great things to try! Wines and cocktails were also so great.

Food was a true disappointment, such as the service. Nothing to do with an Italian restaurant. Worst carbonara of my life. One of us had to wait longer than others both main course and the dessert.

Food was big disappointment! Even their signature dish was very basic, not mind blowing or even excellent. We were party of six and none of us were happy with our meals, which was not even close to real Italian food experience. We had one person...with allergies, waitress acknowledged it, but in the end forgot it and the meal had to be prepared again. The service was slow, our waitress did not speak any Finnish and was not really polite. I simply cannot recommend this is you are looking for real Italian food experience.More

Very poor risotto in the Kasarmitori summer beer garden. I understand that it's a food stall and not a restaurant portion(quality) but the risotto was salty and the rice was way too hard. I was disappointed because I've read praising reviews of the restaurant.

After reading all the positive reviews it was time to give Locanda Scappi a visit. A very disappointing meal.. the one additional star goes to the one server who was attentive and extremely pleasant. The starters were decent but nothing to write home about. The...main course was so salty, I felt the chef seasoned it twice.. Desert was "meh".. all for the price of 38€ per menu (excluding drinks). There is no atmosphere, unless you consider a train station as ambience.. people walking back and forth.. dogs, noise.. smoke.. Sadly, I will not be returning but I do hope that the restaurant takes these comments onboard.More

Late lunch. The food was magnificent. There are many wannabe Italian places out there but also authentic ones. This one is the latter : One can really taste chef's passion for good cooking. The service minded waiters managed everything even though the place was 70%...full capacity. A definite return to this place! Thank-you for surprising us.More
