The main thing - the food - is great. The interior is classy, too. The biggest problem is the feeling that they wanted us to leave, because new people were coming in. We were reminded of the reserved time span 5 times, even though we already knew it when making the reservation. We ordered when asked, we ate when food was brought and we paid before even receiving our desserts. So we were the perfect guests and still we were reminded that new guests are coming in. Like we would not have understood the concept. Well, there was nothing we could have done differently, maybe they should have told the kitchen to hurry up, not us. I don’t want the feeling of being a part of a restaurant machine when dining.

It’s a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was ok but bland and lacked the the Mediterranean feel it should have. Also the menu is very limited which, if the food was outstanding you wouldn’t mind, but it wasn’t.
The tartare starter was perfect. The steak is a poor cut and very chewy, would be better removing that and adding deer for a Finnish twist or something more Mediterranean. The risotto is a season dish and isn’t bad but it’s a normal risotto.
For the price it should be a lot better.

We booked a table for 4 persons. It was thursday and the place was packed. If we didn’t have a reservation we could not fit in. High hopes and expectations because Sikke ( the owner has very good name ).
Athmostphere was great. Restroom was clean. Everything looked good.
Service was nice and polite. Quick, too.
Ladies ordered chicken snitzell which was good. Me and my friend ordered meat. I said to the waitress that just a sec and asked my friend weather he wants his meat medium or well done. The waitress said that let’s leave this to kichen. Ok. We got our portions. The meat was disappointment. It was not made for us but was waiting to be taken to customers. I am sure it was this way. Apetizer, fish, was great. I loved it.
My wife had ginger ice-cream for dessert. It was excellent. Espresso cafe is espresso cafe and cognac was good. All in all worth visiting.

Sorry to say but we were dissappointed. The food was very bland and this together with very simple ingredients made the place a little too pricey. Didnt get the cozy feeling either, felt crowded and a little rushed tho we didnt even stay long. The place had a nice buzz for a weekday evening and the service was good, but the food really was a letdown so wont be returning/recommending.

The list is short, but we found our choce easily. A few oysters, they were fresh and just opened, some lemon and Tabasco type pepper sauce, what else, yes: Prosecco! The duck was tasty, the sauce matched perfectly, and what is rare in Finland: after the waiter brought the ordered glasses of Sardegnan Cannonau, he also recommended a Portuguese red, even gave us a sample!! We chose the Portuguese, it was just what the duck was asking. Wines are priced moderately, meaning in the Finnish scale. We'll come back!

Great food from great ingredients. This is how I describe the experience at Sikke's restaurant.
We booked a table well in advance for the restaurant as the restaurant seemed to be popular. The restaurant got crowded during the evening.
The customer service was good and the food didn't have to wait long. Drinks and pieces of bread were particularly pleasing.
To the criticism of the main course itself. Oh, that's fantastic!
I ordered a day of whitefish, green beans, leek potato stew and crab sauce. It's a great taste!
The sauce had a suitably tasty taste of butter as well as whitefish well cooked.
Chocolate screwse, which was also mouth-watering, was chosen as dessert!
I would definitely recommend visiting Sikke's restaurant if for some reason you end up in Helsinki. Definitely topped the visited restaurants.

Very nice restaurant with great food. The service was friendly with personal touch. Athmosphere at the restaurant was warm and welcoming. As starter I had the beef tartar and it was rhe best I’ve ever eaten! And then I had the Risotto as main. And it was good too. Everyone were pleased with their food.
I warmly recommend this place and will definately go back again.

Price and quality do not match. Not worth coming back to this place. It seems the waiter doesn't even want to work here.

The waitress’ attitude was annoying, she kept on insisting that the salad included in the menu was already on the plate. (The same portion in the a la carte didn’t include the salad but the menu did. ) She obviously didn’t undestand/know and even insisted that the spinach sauce with some spinach leaves was the salad….Argh! Finally brought me the salad … Must say the salad was excellent!
The knifes were not sharp enough to cut a carrot.
When the restaurant is expensive you expect quality in many ways……

Mixed feelings. Food was very good and we enjoyed it.
I would like to think the problems with service were due to understaffing issues. The front-of-house staff were all over the place. Nobody seemed to be on the map on how long each table has been waiting.
Probably some kind of a record -- waited over half an hour with empty plates and glasses after our main, with no contact from staff despite trying to make eye contact over and over. After which we just marched to the counter to ask for the bill ourselves to get out asap. The table that left before us did the same.
And as is usual, no acknowledgement from the staff that a mistake was made, just on to the next arriving customers. Honestly gives a fast food joint vibe when this happens.

A nice place in a good location. Friendly service, but maybe not the most effective. Food was good, but the portions were very small. This restaurant could be really good with some changes.

Went there for a surprise celebration. We turned out to be 10+ people. The service had directly a good idea on how to handle this. They took the info quite nicely on what we would like to have along with the drinks. But they didn't ask if we liked to have something while waiting... But pretty good anyway.
Then when the food arrived it was a pleasant surprise. The starter with special carrots was really nice with subtle taste. The entrequote beef was nicely charred, interestingly they didn't ask for how I would have liked to have it. The potatoes served with it where so and so to my taste but the Bearnaise was really good. As for desert I went with the tart tatain and it was a good choice indeed.
Then there is the question of their time, they give you a 2.5h window. This is perhaps not enough when you have a special occasion. And then you need to be on your guard with the bill. Two couples from our party had some interesting errors in their bills. They where corrected but still. Not as it should be.
Would I go there again? yes I would.
