Great food from great ingredients. This is how I describe the experience at Sikke's restaurant. We booked a table well in advance for the restaurant as the restaurant seemed to be popular. The restaurant got crowded during the evening. The customer service was good and...the food didn't have to wait long. Drinks and pieces of bread were particularly pleasing. To the criticism of the main course itself. Oh, that's fantastic! I ordered a day of whitefish, green beans, leek potato stew and crab sauce. It's a great taste! The sauce had a suitably tasty taste of butter as well as whitefish well cooked. Chocolate screwse, which was also mouth-watering, was chosen as dessert! I would definitely recommend visiting Sikke's restaurant if for some reason you end up in Helsinki. Definitely topped the visited restaurants.More

It’s a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ok but bland and lacked the the Mediterranean feel it should have. Also the menu is very limited which, if the food was outstanding you wouldn’t mind, but it wasn’t. The...tartare starter was perfect. The steak is a poor cut and very chewy, would be better removing that and adding deer for a Finnish twist or something more Mediterranean. The risotto is a season dish and isn’t bad but it’s a normal risotto. For the price it should be a lot better.More

We booked a table for 4 persons. It was thursday and the place was packed. If we didn’t have a reservation we could not fit in. High hopes and expectations because Sikke ( the owner has very good name ). Athmostphere was great. Restroom was...clean. Everything looked good. Service was nice and polite. Quick, too. Ladies ordered chicken snitzell which was good. Me and my friend ordered meat. I said to the waitress that just a sec and asked my friend weather he wants his meat medium or well done. The waitress said that let’s leave this to kichen. Ok. We got our portions. The meat was disappointment. It was not made for us but was waiting to be taken to customers. I am sure it was this way. Apetizer, fish, was great. I loved it. My wife had ginger ice-cream for dessert. It was excellent. Espresso cafe is espresso cafe and cognac was good. All in all worth visiting.More

Sorry to say but we were dissappointed. The food was very bland and this together with very simple ingredients made the place a little too pricey. Didnt get the cozy feeling either, felt crowded and a little rushed tho we didnt even stay long. The...place had a nice buzz for a weekday evening and the service was good, but the food really was a letdown so wont be returning/recommending.More

The main thing - the food - is great. The interior is classy, too. The biggest problem is the feeling that they wanted us to leave, because new people were coming in. We were reminded of the reserved time span 5 times, even though we...already knew it when making the reservation. We ordered when asked, we ate when food was brought and we paid before even receiving our desserts. So we were the perfect guests and still we were reminded that new guests are coming in. Like we would not have understood the concept. Well, there was nothing we could have done differently, maybe they should have told the kitchen to hurry up, not us. Went there for a surprise celebration. We turned out to be 10+ people. The service had directly a good idea on how to handle this. They took the info quite nicely on what we would like to have along with the drinks. But they didn't...ask if we liked to have something while waiting... But pretty good anyway. Then when the food arrived it was a pleasant surprise. The starter with special carrots was really nice with subtle taste. The entrequote beef was nicely charred, interestingly they didn't ask for how I would have liked to have it. The potatoes served with it where so and so to my taste but the Bearnaise was really good. As for desert I went with the tart tatain and it was a good choice indeed. Then there is the question of their time, they give you a 2.5h window. This is perhaps not enough when you have a special occasion. And then you need to be on your guard with the bill. Two couples from our party had some interesting errors in their bills. They where corrected but still. Not as it should be. Would I go there again? yes I would.More

We made a pre-order to Sikke's a few days ago for a big group of friends. Arrived to the restaurant, got the drinks, and menus to pick our orders (which they should have got days ago?)... Waited forever to ORDER our appetizers and food. Waited an...hour to get the appetizers. Then about another hour to get our mains. We arrived to the restaurant around 7:45 and when we got our mains, it was already about 22:30. We decided to skip the dessert, and take a cap home since it was late already. We asked for a bill for 2 times, and waited for it about 30 min. NO ONE was happy. We don't only pay for the food, which was decent, we pay for the service too. So based on this experience, the visit was highly overpriced. A disappointment. And we still have no idea what was the point of the pre-order? No one at the restaurant seemed to have any idea about it. And nothing was prepared.More

You feel immediately welcome in this cosy, small, living-room type of restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff, extremely good and tasty cross-kitchen food and wide variety of wines and other drinks to choose from. Warmest recommendations!
