Quality Gem

Cool wall art, cosy yet spacious, this cafe is an absolute gem. Well worth the effort to find. The coffee is fantastic, great range of teas too. Fabulous service from friendly staff. The range of quality food is a treat. Soups are amazing, salads too....Cakes and deserts are dangerously good. I kept going back almost every day for the whole two weeks just because its so goodMore

Terrific independent cafe

Terrific independent cafe - a warm welcome for my breakfast visit. Nice range in the menu - wholesome options throughout. Good coffee and a fair price - what a great way to avoid hotel breakfast buffets ;)More

Cheap and good food

Good tacos and sandwiches! Yummy! Tacos for 10,50€ and big sandwiches for about 9€. Cosy atmosphere and friendly personnel.More

Fresh food and reasonable prices

Edge is allways worth visiting. Soup of the day, good salads, sandviches, hot potatoes with salad and a tasty filling, smoothies. The only thing I miss is better cakes. And maybe some cinnamon rolls etc would be nice to add to the list.More

Hidden treasure

We found this small bistro by coincidence. And we were surprises how good food we received. Friendly staff and amazing tortilla was delicious and for good price.More

Nice place great food

Looking for a nice place for lunch in Helsinki we found this gem. A cosy, chill, friendly café that said on the window: "tell us what you need". I needed carb free food and that"s what i got. With a little adjustment the vegan salad...was great for me. Fresh salad, real food. Great coffee. Friendly lovely helpful people. If you like a more non conformistic place instead of the boring all the same places right near the station, but just 5 minutes further by foot.More

A great find!

My husband and I were walking around Helsinki when I found it necessary to use the restroom. We looked around and there in front of us was this PERFECT place to stop for a snack and a coffee! Our dessert cake had a little different...flavor than what we are used to, but was very tasty. The cappuccino was great! The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself was very cozy. Many locals busy with their computers! The paintings on the walls caught my attention and the staff was more than willing to explain to me the reason they were there!!!! Interesting!!!!! And oh, yes, the restroom was small, private and clean!!! So happy to have found Espresso Edge!!!.More

Friendly and home-like café

A unique option for the boring chain cafes occupying the city center. A lot to choose from when in need of a small or a bigger bite. Good tea&coffee, friendly people, peaceful atmosphere and wifi - what more do you need? One of my favourite...hang out cafes in Helsinki.More

Good ice tea

Nice little cafe. Good ice tea. Unfortunately I did not like the Caesar dressing the slightest. But they offer good selection of food. Opportunity to eat inside or have a lovely meal otside.More

Great for lunch, coffee and conversation

I go here often, it has a San Francisco coffee house look and feel, and maybe the best cappuccino in town (see also Grand Cafe Delicato). The soup and sandwich combo is great for lunch (but served all day). There is a choice of two...soups and many really good sandwiches. It gets crowded between noon and 1:00 so best to go before or after the lunch hour. The soups change daily, and the art changes to feature local artists. The ambience is good for conversation and quiet time.More

Great coffee

This café serves great coffee and has the best bean salsa in town, try it with the filled oven potatoes - divine. A great place for writing, except at lunch time when it is really loud.

Great lunch spot!

We found Espresso Edge by chance and stopped in for lunch. They offer delicious soups, salads and sandwiches as well as combos. The food was fresh and tasty and the setting is casual, inviting and comfortable. Definitely a good lunch spot, particularly on a cool...or chilly day.More
