This is the restaurant we always bring friends and family to. The dishes are quite typical and always excellent. There is a lot of choice and the service is friendly.

Had lunch here, warm salmon salad. The salad was plentiful, ingredients fresh and crispy, the salmon well fried and it was served warm, i.e. served immediately and not left standing under heat lamps, which again stands for good service. The service was friendly and quick. The surroundings are amazing, an architectural and historical must-see.

The restaurant is located on a small island distant 5 minutes walking from the crowded market plaza. The structure is really nice and built in authentic Finnish style, staff is kind and food really good (salmon was delicious). Prices are average for the town. We really enjoyed location and service.

Sokeri-Jussi is located in a beautiful spot and the old, traditional wooden house is worth visiting. On a warm weather it is nice to sit outside and watch the people of Oulu riding their bikes. The food is fine, traditional Finnish food, local ingredients but nothing spectacular. Service has not always been too friendly or helpful. But lately it has... More

Had a pleasant early dinner at Sokeri-Jussin Kievari. We were positively suprised by the food and the cosy atmosphere. The menu was fairly limited but we found several alternatives to choose from. The service was pleasant and swift. Prices were ok, Sure to vist again when next time in Oulu.

Very friendly staff in this very old & beautiful house. The food was very good but not fine dining level. Price was on the level of 20€. Good beer but the selection was very small. I would go there again.

The food in this restaurant bonds well with the local foods of Oulu. The fish is great as is the reindeer. The staff are outstanding. Try the Vendace or the Rossu Potu

We visited this restaurant at the end of may. When the weather is sunny it is just super to visit this place and sit outside. The food has high class and the servcie is friendly. It is situated in an old building wich gives the visiter a little "extra"

One of the best traditional restaurants in Oulu. Local and Finnish specialties, both fish and meat. The deserts are also typically Finnish and must be tried, they are all very good (I went there many times and tried them all! My favourite is the liquorice parfait). A few vegetarian options as well.
