very satisfying salmon soup. and nice service in this restaurant with a traditional feel. the reindeer looked good too.

We had lunch in restaurant Kotahovi during our stay in SCHV. The service was very good, we had the salmon and reindeer which were both delicious, the kids had chicken nuggets and mash and enjoyed their food also. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful....Lots of food eateries in SCHV serve burgers/chips and pizza so it was nice to get some tasty healthy food.More

Probably best Restaurant in SCV serving Lappish food. Great, freshly prepared local dishes, fab service and relaxed atmosphere. I wish they had bit longer kids menu (only chicken nuggets with fries or mash potatoes) but still giving highest score as they can accommodate half portions...of all the dishes on the Menu for children.More

A very nice restaurant in Santa Claus village in Rovaniemi,Lapland ,Finland. Definitely the best restaurant in Santa Claus Village, maybe even in Rovaniemi. The atmosphere is incredibly warm. The food is really tasty and staff is friendly. We didn’t wait more than 5min to get a table (at Santa’s Salmon Place we waited one full hour)....Also finally a place where they don’t overcharge you for drinks (unlike many other in Lapland). Super good deal! We recommend it :)More

The village is a tourist-type place, so we weren't expecting great food. But it was! Great atmosphere, helpful/friendly service, and fantastic food. Loved the cardamon cake in cream with caramel!

Stumbled on this place after passing on the other pizza / cafe joints in the Santa Claus Village. The stunning decor had tables around a large fire which is not merely decorative but is used to cook the flamed cooked salmon if you order it....This was great as was the cod (catch of the day) and cauliflower steak. The sauteed reindeer was a bit dry; but this may be an unfair comparison to a juicy reindeer steak.More

I have mixed feelings. When we arrived, the small restaurant was full. At least, apparently, as there were only two people seated at tables of 8, yet the staff were not flexible - we watched the comfortably chatting diners for 30 minutes. Many of the...people who came after us left, asking in vain how long the wait would be, but getting no answer. The waiter was particularly cold, personal and inflexible. The food was delicious, however, and the young blonde waitress who brought the food compensated for the inflexibility of the others with her kindness. It is perhaps worth mentioning that the restaurant does not serve alcohol at all. The service could be much better. Listening to the guests, we were not the only dissatisfied ones.More

Loved this traditional potatoes-reindeer meal. Amazing ambiance created with a large fireplace in the middle of a traditional hut, topped off by excellent customer service. THANK YOU!

We visited this restaurant for lunch and it was a perfect dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you see warm fire in the middle of the restaurant. I loved the Lapland decor. We were greeted by friendly staff and lucky to have table...straight away. My husband and I both had enjoyed Lappish salmon dishes. I especially enjoyed my Salmon soup. It was a great location, situated in Santa's Village and right next to our hotel.. I would say this was my favourite restaurant in Rovaniemi.More
