Burger and especially the fries were excellent, though the portion was quite expensive (15,50 EUR). Nice location with the water view. And after the covid-19 quarantine just eating outside home was a bit of heaven. But if I ever come back to Varkaus and want to eat a good burger, this is the place again.

Went there with my daughter for having lunch. It’s located nearby a small Harbour with inside and outside tables. The restaurant itself got a light interior with a lot of plants around. The Staff was very friendly and helpful (since we don’t speak Finnish we needed some help with the Menu). We both ordered burgers with sides and we both loved it.

Container Restaurant Morton is a lakeside summer restaurant in the city center of Varkaus, only 1.5 kilometers from the highway 5 (Viitostie). They have an excellent summer terrace. Most tables are situated outdoors but they have indoor tables, too. The location is beautiful. Service was very kind but a bit slow.
Morton serves salads, hamburgers, small bites and desserts. Other Morton restaurants serve all day pancake breakfast, too, but I didn't ask if it is available here. Hamburgers are very different than in bigger chain restaurants. Morton's hamburgers include very interesting ingredients, e.g. strawberry-garlic chutney, basil-apple chutney and pickled rhubarb. Our family loved all hamburgers. They were very delicious.

Five stars because of the exceptional good care this restaurant take of dogs. They get their own treats and a bowl with the restaurant name on it. The burgers are lovely too 😊. Nice signature witbier and friendly service.

Stopped here for lunch on our road trip… great idea it was!! Tasty burgers, great fries and sweet potato fries! Very friendly staff! Sat outside near the water on a beautiful summer day.

Superb french fries, even better burgers. Nice location by the lake, yet easy to stop while travelling. Next to small playground and good parking.
Skip the service stations and stop here for a nice experience!

Morton has a lunch offer, that provides either a burger or a salad by 11 euros. The burgers have always a vegetarian option and that option tasted excellent! Also the fries have unique flavor and the best fries I've ever had! The meals are not too big or do not seem to contain much fat, so even after a burger you feel pretty light.The service was friendly and fast.

Stopped in Varkaus for a late lunch and decided to head for Morton based on Tripadvisor comments. This burger joint, open in the summertime only, didn’t disappoint us.
We both had burger meals complete with french fries (regular for him, sweet potato for me - delish!!!). Awesome, tasty burgers and chilled local specialty beer!
Service was fast and friendly, the setting by the lake shore relaxed.

Fast, friendly, and by a lake. Good street kitchen type of food, we had burgers. This is very nice summer place, go and enjoy with family or friends. It is nice to find these kind of very easy going places by a lake 👍 Try out also the gooseberry lemonade, very nice.

Delaware hamburger was good, also reindeerbacon salad. But just good, nothing special. Last summer list was much better. Morton is a great concept. The interior is something special. But please, get last summers pork on the list again. Then I"ll be back, otherwise not.
