The food was wonderful and creative. The staff at Koka were all very friendly and very helpful at explaining the food and the philosophy behind each creation. We took the 7 course menu with wine, which of course was amazing. However, the wine selection at times could have been improved in my opinion. Overall, the experience was very nice!

Last week we ate with Swedish friends in Koka. It was a great experience, very good food and a nice, not too formal atmosphere. The kitchen is modern Scandinavian, less original perhaps than Kokkeriet in Copenhagen but refined and very tasty. The amount of dishes was not too many (as in Kokeriet) but exactly right. We had 5 dishes and... More

A cosy venue a bit outside of the city centre of Gothenburg. Very friendly and warm service. The tasting menu was a real journey through Scandinavian kitchen. Wine parising was both very intresting and supported well the foods served. High recommendation!

A fantastic place to eat a degustation menu! All dishes we tried were fantastic! Our favorites were the nettle and strawberries with mustard caramel. I was really amazed by their home made butter, super fresh and light! Service was great, atmosphere fantastic! I especially liked the interior, tables were covered in leather, which basically told a story from every guest.... More

We had the 5 course meal. The servers were really nice and trained. But some aren't good in english so they weren't able to explain the dish as good as the others. The place is small but nice. It's near the city center (or in the city center? ;)). It was quite noisy when we were there because the people... More

Recommended in the Michelin guide for 2016, this one * Michelin place has a very nice cosy and welcoming feel to it. The chef cooking style is unique and experimental with extensive use of Swedish ingredients/produce and this has certainly delivered special dishes for the tasting menu. I opted for the 5 course tasting menu and all dishes tasted great... More

Good place. Business dinner with a good surprise: where the food could be little the wine is covering the gap. We all choose the 7 course. Every dish was introduced and explained and every wine as well. Service is fantastic and food is ... typical Swedish traditional revised in a modern way. I never tough to eat these things in... We choosed the 5 course meny along with the wine package. We were very satisfied through the hole meal. Exciting and well composed courses along with very well selected wines. The staff were all very professional, well educated and polite.

Visited Koka for the first time in October 2014 when it was re-launched (it was previously called Kock & Vin). I was there with my wife and we ordered the 3 course tasting menu. All the three dishes were outstanding together with the two little extra complimentary (gratis) "tasters". Then we visited Koka again in November 2015 and again ordered... More
