Beautiful restaurant with open kitchen sets in the main floor of an historic Roça. Delicious 9 courses tasting menu using typical and local ingredients for 25€. Very friendly staff. Gorgeous view. I had lunch there and I totally recommend it.

This is a beautiful place. The building makes you go back in time when it was inhabited by the rich landlords. The landscape around is just great, mainly the view over the Ocean. Going to this place it is usually for tasting a wide variety...of local flavors provided by a well-known chef. It is worth the price you pay. Enjoy!More

The food came out to be disappointing as the expectations were high. Chicken or fish always same choices... Sweets were totally uninteresting, and fruit ,in a poor variety

I showed up at the place late morning and too early for lunch still in the making. I ordered a fresh fruit juice instead. The order took quite some time to be confirmed and the juice to be prepared allowing time to walk around and...to enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the village and the coast. What a disappointment when the totally watery juice arrived ....More

We showed up at the restaurant for lunch and the hostess did not seem pleased/ happy to help. The restaurant was empty - not a single guest except for our party and she was impatient in explaining their dining concept to us. (They don’t have...menus and can’t tell you what they’re serving) she said it depended on the chef. I explained that I needed to understand what they served since we would be dining with kids and we would also like to know what kind of food to expect. She couldn’t be bothered. It was as though she was trying to keep us away from the restaurant instead of welcoming us. To cut a long story short, we didn’t even bother to be seated and left within 5 minutes. I won’t return and would not recommend this establishment.More

Definitely Roça de São João dos Angolares was one of the highlights of the trip to São Tomé e Príncipe. The food was incredible and the price, for this experience, is not expensive. The service was really good and the view was one of the...best vies of the island. I truly recommend this experience!More
