I was the first time there for a dinner with a business friend. The terrace is just great in-between the houses, almost cozy. The food (sushi) was excellent, prices were okay for a hip-location. Only minus point was that the music became loud, so that it was a bit difficult to discuss, but after a while they reduced it. Attention... More

The place is really nice but we liked the terrace the most because it was really cozy and the music was suiting the whole atmosphere. The prices are logical and the location really central next to metro station.

The staff were great, so was the Terrance vibes. The food was overpriced for what you received. The fried tempura rolls were good but I wouldn't order the scallops or the lobster rolls again. To be honest I wouldn't go for food again.

My friends and I stumbled into Ljunggren on a cold night in late March -- we had heard that it was a trendy spot where the locals hung out and that turned out to be accurate. We met the bartender/manager Rob/James, who was not only incredibly talented but friendly and attentive, even giving us recommendations to other bars nearby. The... More

Great Service! The food was Mediocer, the sudhi rice was without taste just boiled. The fish was fresh. The daily special was well presented, lots of fat on the pork, very salty. The egg rolls werr very greasy, lots of rice nuddles in them. Apparantely a trendy place in the evenings. Location inside a shopping center.

Tiny, cold, sad, tasteless dishes were all under 150 kcal yet above 150 SEK, which means more than 1 SEK per kcal. Confused, slow, uninterested staff. It is widely known that Södermalm wants to be Brooklyn, but food industry professionals at Ljunggrens can't really handle their urban herbs. RIP all the stuck-up trendy-buzzy-silly bars.

A Sunday's quick lunch meal at Ljunggren became a sad disappointment. We'v ordered a Tom Ka soup that was so sour - too much lime, that it was barely eatable. Personnel seem to be quite a bit to much blasé. Oh - a cold soup that we've ordered took about 25 minutes to serve.

The sushi here is ok, you can't really complain about the quality but I don't think it's worth the price. There are a lot of sushiplaces in Stockholm that are much better in both sushi and service. We went here on a saturday evening and the restaurant was fully booked, but that shouldn't matter. I can't see a reason to... More

this place is a staple. You can sit at the bar, with a drink and get through some edamame. Or go straight into the restaurant and have some great food. The waiters are super friendly and happy to help you choose.

Very high quality, a must for the connoisseur. Good service too. Can be quite busy. The combo platter is terrific.

Staying in Slussen

Neighborhood Profile
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
