Tonite We celebrate our son’ birthday by Eat out very homey chinese vegan restaurant in stockholm! to a very homey chinese vegan restaurant in stockholm! Delicious food, authentic, freshly cooked as ordered and generous portions. Food served in chinese traditional ways, all food were meant to be shared and each of us got a bowl of rice and We used chopstick for eat.
Great service with friendly staff. Water glasses were kept full!
Quite many tea selection. My favorite is Jasmine Tea.
Good ice cream too, coconut’milk base pandan ice cream is highly recomended. Fair prices!

I have now been to Lao Wai twice. The first time I went was Feb 15th we ordered the Ma Po Dou Fu, and since eating it I have not been able to get it out of mind. It is simply the best Ma Po Dou Fu I have ever eaten, the vegetables were all cut in equal sizes, the sauce had excellent consistency and the taste was out of this world . We finally came back to Stockholm in Dec and as soon as I booked my tickets I made a reservation to eat here again. The second time we went we ordered two starters and the Ma Po Dou Fu again. I was slightly concerned that it would not be as good but my expectations were not dashed. In fact it was even better the second time. We also liked one of the starters so much (hedghog mushrooms) we ordered it again after we finished our main. If I were ever to move to Stockholm I would be happy to, simply because I would be able to dine here as often as I would like too.

Delicious, healthy, and authentic Chinese food. The restaurant was clean and accommodating with an impressive menu, including real tea from around the globe, and an intriguing desert menu with vegan ice cream. They also gave us complimentary extra rice when we took our away leftovers, and a muffin! I’m very happy with this place and I highly recommend. I’d love to add photos but unfortunately the food was too yummy to spend time taking photos of it and it was eaten quickly.

Just as in my favourite Sichuan restaurant in Shanghai! this must be a top for Chinese travellers or expatriates. All was just perfect, at a spicy grade ideal for an Italian Southerner. Flavours are various and rich, non vegans will enjoy anyway. The tofu was excellent. The service was also top, careful without invading. Do book in advance because Lao Wu runs this business in a really tiny place.

We walked in without reservation; the restaurant is basic and rather cramped but the food and atmosphere makes up for that. The food is lovely and all freshly cooked. Portions are large. Lovely "ice cream" for puddings and wines and beers. Moderately priced and reasonably near the station and centre [an easy walk]

What happened to one of the best vegan restaurants? Felt already when we stepped in that something was different. It didn't smell like it used to and I didn't recognise the staff. When the food arrived, the setup looked sloppy. Without love. And it was good. But not as it tasted before summer. Maybe they had a bad day but have heard from several that it got worse after the holiday.

Very tasty vegan Asian food in Stockholm.
I ordered no. 33 the Ma Yi Shang Shu, spicy sichuan dish with bean noodles, minced soy meat, chili sauce, water chestnuts, soy beans and lime and coriander. Very tasty dish, loved the noodles and the sauce. Amazing.
My partner ordered the Ma Po Duo Fu, spicy sichuan tofu dish made with chili bean sauce, garlic, ginger, spring onions, minced soy meat and Sichuan pepper. The dish was amazing with the right amount of heat.
Overall, very good food and fantastic service.

They adapted couple of the dishes to no garlic and no mushrooms. The tofu dishes were good and the portions were excellent. The dishes came as they were cooked rather than all together.

So. Many vegan/ vegetarian restaurants get by with just being vegan as the vegans will go there anyway due to lack of options, and many Asian restaurants can serve any spicy wok an people will by it as they don't know it can taste better.
This place is different! They really make an effort, and there's a genuine love of cooking and spices resulting in completely amazing tastes. This is the only vegan restaurant where I can bring also meat-eating friends being confident that they'll really appreciate the food as much as I do.
Oh, and the ice cream is AMAZING! It's almost worth going there just to get the ice cream, I promise!

Amazing food - expensive but it's large portions and meant to be eaten family style. Each entree comes with a bowl of rice. Food is so flavorful and the right amount of spicy. For dessert, we got the coconut milk based ice cream, pandan leaf flavor. I never tasted this flavor before but it is now probably the best Ice cream I ever had!!

The guy serving us was friendly. the food was really good, im not vegan but i liked the flavors. I liked that the food had so many different types of mushrooms in it. The restaurant was really small though

This is a wonderful lunch restaurant it's a bit far from the office, but we usually take the subway to save time. They have two menus one for even weeks and one for odd. The set meal for each day costs 120kr. It's a very tasty and filling lunch, even none vegaterians like myself will come back again. It's a small restaurant so go early to get a table. They are also open for evening meals. Do go in and read up on them .

If you are in the mood for some authentic plant-based chinese food in Stockholm, this is the place to go! The small space has a simple interior which gives of a familiar feel. The portions are fairly generous. The only thing I can complain about is that I think the teas are a bit expensive.
