Good value and taste

I visited here on a Friday night with 5 friends, we were lucky to get a table (unfortunately inside, not outside, but we hadn't booked anyway). The vegetarians in the group loved the cumin roasted cheese they had, the perogi dumplings were apparently delicious, the mackerel served with squid ink... read more

When we entered the restaurant with our two children the waiter said that you can choose your table yourself. This is what we did. Two minutes after another waiter came demanding us to remove two of your baby carriages outside the restaurant to some corner on the street. I told that we cannot do that, because we have our entire... More

I went to Babylon with some local friends, looking for something to eat and a place to hang. It's a lively place, with tables outside (was there in late August) and a great urban atmosphere. It was busy but we were lucky to get a table inside. The menu is "middle-eastern" inspired - which makes me wonder how perogies got... More

After a full day pottering around Stockholm we were looking for something relaxed and not over the top, Babylon more than delivered. It could be transplanted straight into Shoreditch or Hoxton Square in London and no one would spot the difference. We had a platter of cold cuts to start, followed by the tuna salad. The tuna salad was generous... More

the atmosphere was very vibrant, the crowd and the tunes really nice. great service, very friendly and polite, and the drinks super tasty... try the creamy margherita and the rose wine on the list. (the address above is wrong, this is the correct one Björns Trädgårdsgränd 4)

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighborhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
