Some friends recommended this Swedish bistro in the Stureplan area, just a block from the Metro and near the nicest shops. My friend and I had a leisurely lunch here and got an outdoor table. We both had the same. The shrimps on toast starter and the perch pan-fried main. They were both perfectly prepared and definitely local and restaurant... More

The place was recommended by a local friend for Swedish food. Everything is ok, but for its reputation and price you can expect for more. Took the appetizer sample meat balls all ok

Surrounded by designer shops, and with waiters in white jackets, it may be little surprise that Prinsen feels a bit stuffy and overpriced. There were a fair percentage of locals in the clientele - including what looked like grandad educating grandson's palate while indulging his own taste for aka it? - so I assume it is an established fixture in... We were looking a place for a little dinner and walked by Prinsen. A outside table was friendly arranged for three when it was asked although the restaurant was quite full. The terrace are was equipped with heaters which is often comfortable in swedish summer evenings. The menu was interesting. And the food was very good.

This restaurant serves amazing local/traditional Swedish food. The location is perfect and it's not many cars passing by this street so you can comfortably sit outside if the weather allows it. Big shout out to the chef Mike which prepared for us great tasting swedish meatballs aswell as Biff rydberg (fileet of beef) with deserts and champagne to it. Great... More

I have been here on previous visits to Stockholm and always try to eat here when I am around. The quality of the food has been consistent over these years. I prefer to eat outside, even though the inside is elegant and traditional. Fortunately there was a seat spare when I arrived. I like the position of the restaurant in... More

Prinsen offers traditional swedish kitchen. My favourites are Beef Rydberg (deluxe version of pyt i panna), Beef Wallenberg (minced veal) and meatballs. If you only visit restaurant once, I would go for Biff Rydberg. Right drink is beer and you don't need starter. If you are having meetings afterwards, take something lighter or you have decent chances to fall asleep.

Service was very good. Mostly Swedish food. Looks very much like a very old establishment. Food is delivered very quickly and tasted great.

Lousy service, food average and not worth visiting. Meatballs aren't really good and the bread...behave with your teeth.

Visit the place with few colleges.the primary courses were extra ordinary but the main dishes were disappointed. The atmosphere is very nice, service is great and the soma lie was very professional.

Staying in Norrmalm

Neighborhood Profile
Norrmalm
Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest neighborhood. It’s home to the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most traditional department stores Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns City juxtaposed with Stockholm’s most modern shopping mall, Mood Stockholm.
