Wasn't sure what to get, but I copy from another customer dish. Lady on the counter was friendly, smiley and very helpful. Food was delicious, and the cake was fantastic. Very recommend!

Tårtan is a lovely place to eat delicious vegetarian food or have one of the best fikas in the city. Good coffee, great ambiance and super friendly staff. If you are in Stockholm don't miss it!

We went there for some coffee. The restaurant is a sneaky, little place where you can also eat and sit outside. Very friendly staff, the coffee was good, tasty looking cakes and salads. We ordered a simple toast with ham and cheese and waited for it about 20 minutes. Turned out someone else (who ordered after us) had taken it... More

Nicest breakfast in Stockholm and the best bargain in town - freshly squeezed orange juice, a big sandwich, coffee and yogurt/fruit for 89 crowns. Wow! Loved the flying bird lampshades

Typical fika in Stockholm: coffees, latte, chai with very good pastries (I had the apple-almond pie)

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighborhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
