The restaurante is especialized in meet but the syrloin was very mediocre, we asked for medium well but we got well done. Prices are very high for the quality.

We wanted a French dinner and booked LEGARE near Stockholm Central Station. It's me and my daughter. My daughter is underage and cannot drink alcoholic beverages. Also she didn't know what non-alcoholic drinks were. The staff at this restaurant kindly showed her all the non-alcoholic...beverage bottles. She felt comfortable ordering drinks. We ordered the onion soup and the sirloin steak plate. Dessert after dinner is creme brulee. All tasted great. Especially the onion soup was wonderfully delicious for us Japanese. We hope to eat there again when we travel to Stockholm.More
Really enjoyed our dinner at La Gare. The menu is good and we'd recommend the Les Plats de la Gare. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
The menu is the limited amount of French food, steak, club sandwich, onion soup, escargot, Dessert menu is almost as long if not longer. Service is slow, so is the food coming speed. We were so tired at the end of the day that we...literally took a nap while waiting. Food tasted ok, steak comes with green beans; the club sandwich is huge in portion and comes with salad and fries. Onion soup also tasted descent, a bit too salty for me. While we couldn't finish, our waiter was able to pack everything up for us to take home.More
Arrived as a group right after the lunch rush hour in this popular work area so the service was superb, as it wasn't busy. We basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves at 1:30pm. I was craving escargot snails which are listed on their very...minimal menu, but they said that they haven't had a shipment of them for about 2 weeks so I was a bit disappointed about that, which is the only reason I'm removing two stars. It was the only reason I chose the restaurant in the first place and for that, I had brought my friends out of their way for me to get it, which we were unsuccessful :( Im removing the second star because, although I appreciate the fact that they excel in the options that they offer, there are so little choices. Even the dinner menu is minimal. I settled for the French onion soup instead which was nice but not what I wanted at all. I can't see anyone wanting to return to this restaurant after one timeMore
Myself and 3 friends had lunch in here yesterday, it was superb! All of us had delicious food, steak, onion soup, snails and crepes. The cote du Rhone was excellent. Mia was working that day and she really looked after us,she was a delight! Lockdown permitting, we...are going back to Stockholm soon and we'll definitely be visiting this place again.More
Reviews of this French-style bistro range from excellent to terrible. We found it somewhere in the middle. Some good points, some not so good - all in all, a bit French. It was a quiet Saturday night and service was off-hand to be honest (just...like being in Paris!). The food when it came was fine - and I have to commend the steak and the massive plate of chips. Not especially good value but not outrageous either. Everything came out as an average score - fair enough but nothing to write home about either.More
Dirty, unfriendly, cheeky, poor food, totally unkind towards clients, didn't attend us for 20 minutes, and after that teated us in a terrible way even if we where with two children.food was terrible, old, poor quality, never had such a bad experience.asked for some simple...dishes, and were served, after almost 45 minutes with most horrible food ever.left the place as the old woman, the most unkind of all, decided to ask us to go as soon as we complained: incredible...and had to pay almost 1200 krown...avoid the place.had to give 1 poin...but is zero they deserve.More
Visited with friends on a weeknight. Food was ok but not more. House Cote du Rhone wine was very good. Service was fast, friendly and attentive.
Ate here after a day of sightseeing, it was conveniently located next to my hotel. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly.
The fine is fine, with lots of attention to vegetarian and allergic guests, and the location - just seconds from the terminal of the Arlanda Express - makes it incredibly convenient. The food is much better than I would expect a place sited there to...be. And the loos are great! Clean, clean, clean! The staff are nicely, not annoyingly, attentive, and very pleasant.More
Cozy french atmosfere but the food was nothing special. We had club sandwich which was extremely drenched in oil. We do not suggest ordering this dish :)
I’ve visited Rest La Gare several times and I’ve never been disappointed-so far! The restaurant has plenty of tables so the chances to get a table is good. Central location.
Bistro La Gare was our first stop after arriving from the airport. We hit the place shortly after the usual lunch time when the place was quiet and only few people inside. Salad Nicoise and a mixed salad bowl with warm smoked salmon were both...very delicious and of good quantity too. The atmosphere was relaxing, staff attending and at ease with a small child. We were surprised by the quality of the food in a restaurant so close to the main station. We had other experiences elsewhere too.More
A French influenced restaurant/bistro. Short menu with a speciality. Calm abiance, not to hefty prices for being smak in the middle of town. Take a lunch before going on with train to explore more of Sweden or go for a dinner within a budget
